"We are moving quickly to fix [the subtitle] errors and manufacture two replacement discs for your set and will ship them to you in about two weeks," the company wrote in an email sent to customers. If you purchased the set from the Shout! store, replacement discs will automatically be shipped to your previously-identified shipping address.

Factory will not be offering their Fortress Maximus lithograph as a bonus with the purchase of the Transformers Japanese DVD Collection, citing that "[i]t's not quite ready." Back at the end of June, Shout! informed customers about the delay of the Transformers Japanese Collection Box Set and cancelled existing pre-orders, citing the uncertainty of a release date. Its times like these that I really wish I knew Japanese. Would could be more awesome than watching the Transformers Generation 1 cartoon series, named "Transformers Super Robot Fight 2010" in Japan, in-language. As much as Hasbro does for us, I am glad to see Takara fans getting a DVD set too. What's even cooler is these releases are said to include a Legends action figure pack-in with each of the eight DVDs released. More details will be posted when known.

Amazon has added the cover art to their product page for the Transformers Headmasters DVD box set, Shout! Factory's upcoming release of TakaraTomy's Japan-only series. The cover art has the ubiquitous Generation 1 "Transformers" logo with the words "The Japanese Collection" above the logo and "Headmasters" near the bottom of the box. In addition to this set, Shout! Factory's Brian Ward also hints that we should expect "at least" TakaraTomy's Transformers Super-God Masterforce and Victory will follow-up the Headmasters series. Continue reading for that.

While many fans have held out the hope that at least one of the fan-made dubs will make it onto the TakaraTomy's Transformers Headmasters DVD box set of the series from Shout! Factory on July 5, 2011, your wish may not be fulfilled. According to Shout! Factory's Brian Ward, the company has already "tried hard" to lobby Hasbro, Inc. to let them use any of the available fan-made English dubs of the show onto the DVD, but have so far been unsuccessful.
