Armada Reviews

For the first time since 2006, the first leg of the Unicron Trilogy is available on DVD. While the set is rather barebones, containing only the show itself as originally aired and no extras, Transformers Armada: The Complete Series represents space-efficiency and a decent value for those who want the show on their shelf. Armada, Season 1, Part 2 - Armada - Media Rhino's latest boxed set release is ho-hum when compared to content previously released. The box art shows Optimus and Galvatron on the front, with Galvatron wielding the Star Sabre and a shadowy Unicron in the background. The sleeve and actual discholder sport 2 different synopsises and screenshots. The inside of the holder cotains an episode list with a very brief synopsis of the episode. The 4 discs superimpose images of both Galvatron and Optimus. Read Review

I was able to go and pick up my copy of Armada Powerlinx Jetfire at my local Toys R Us a few days ago here in Ashevill, N.C. I must say his new color scheme is a lot better than the original. Check out the review HERE.

With all the fuss over Unicron and the convention lately, it's easy to forget that some other major Armada figures were released recently too. When I stopped in a Wal-mart, I noticed that they had gotten in there most recent shipment a number of Armada Skywarps and a couple of Overloads. I couldn't resist, and now I am the proud owner of Overload, the last piece to the Optimus Prime gestalt. I may get Skywarp this weekend, but for now here's my review.

I recently purchased Wheeljack and out of all the cars, I am the most impressed with this one. The color scheme for one I love and the autobot scar with a small decepticon symbol underneath. His mini-con, Windsheer is in the same color scheme as well. It is funny that all the decepticions have matching mini-con and the autobots don't. oh well onto the review HERE.

We've waited 17 years for the ol' planet muncher, and believe-you-me, Unicron is worth all that waiting, and the fifty or so bucks you'll have to lay down for him. If you are curious about Unicron, read this review to learn more about this very impressive toy. Check out the first and very detailed review of the Transformers Armada Unicron and Dead End figures by Saurocon. HERE.

Much needed Decepticon reinforcements arrive in the form of the Dark Fleet. Comprised of three sea-faring vessels (battleship, aircraft carrier, and transport) that I'm sure also fly in the wonderful world of the Transformers, Tidal Wave is a navy of one. Read more HERE. has posted a review of the roleplay STAR SABER toy. This review also contains in and out-package images of the toy. The review can be found on HERE.
