With music artist Prince's passing, this vaults have been opened to reveal something that is more than meets the ears. It appears the artist was somewhat of fan and then some having composed an entire album that was titled "Pure Energon". According to the fan site, the album is in-fact a concept album dedicated to the Transformers series that was recorded with the group, Information Society. A Minneapolis based group who played industrial music, techno, and funk styled music, if that gives us any idea of what the music might have sounded like.

In today's Combaticon Awareness Week article we look at Bruticus Reimagined! The first new attempt to recapture the `80s Combaticon combiner magic was in 2004, at the tail end of Transformers Energon. Ancient guardian of the Super Energon coveted by Megatron, Bruticus Maximus featured interchangeable limbs... two matching pairs of them. Read on for more!

Shout! Factory have released news and details about the Transformers Energon: The Complete Series DVD Collection. Fans of the Energon series will be able to follow the Unicron Trilogy through this collection that will be released May 6th, followed by the Transformers Energon Volume 1 DVD on May 13th. Just out via Amazon product page just posted are details on the Transformers: Energon The Complete Series from Shout! Factory that will be coming our way on May 6, 2014. The 52 episode set will be offered as a complete set including all the Energon cartoons that will be selling for a list price of $39.97 USD, although Amazon has them discounted now at $27.98 USD. Fans who missed the Paramount release will be able to get these shows on DVD again.'s Featured Toy of the Month is Energon Tow-Line! A decent Combat-class figure (the Deluxe equivalent) with a creative implementation of the Energon Autobots' combining "Powerlinx" gimmick, Tow-Line is also the homage/update you'd never expect to happen: the toy version of G1 Ratchet and Ironhide, complete with battle station!

Much like Armada before it, Transformers Energon is a very divisive toyline, with a majority of the toys requiring degrees of sacrifice to execute line-wide play features. But no matter how you feel about Powerlinking Autobots, it's difficult to dispute that when Energon was on target it really hit its mark dead on. Landmine is probably my favorite example for the strengths that existed by having the Autobot combination gimmick take different forms through the series. Continue reading

Just in are yet more images from Toy Fair 2013 with the Transformers Transformers Platinum Showroom Image Gallery with Ultra Magnus, Optimus Prime, Omega Supreme just going up we get a look at the Year of the Snake figures and the new Ultra Magnus. Check out the images and more details below.

The first use of the mold was a sincere, but flawed homage to the original Omega Supreme. This time around however they skipped the hints, grabbed the G1 character and ran with him. Check out the video review of Transformers Year of the Snake Platinum Edition Omega Supreme below.

Thanks to the Toy People website who have posted some of the best images yet showing the Platinum Edition Year of the Snake Optimus Prime and Omega Supreme figures. Both of these toy sets have a lot of play value with multiple modes and and parts to be added on for the robot, alternate vehicle, trailer and battle modes. Get a look at both of these toys in extensive detail with nice bit clear shots of both set below.

Thanks to Planet Iacon, following up news Year Of Snake Platinum Series Optimus Prime and Omega Supreme releases in Singapore on January 22, we have some additional news that there will be two more Transformers Platinum Edition Exclusives coming later this year. It is not clear if these will be Year of Snake exclusives or something else. Stay tuned fore more details as they are made available. As many had hoped, is indeed offering the Transformers Year Of The Snake Platinum Edition exclusive toys to fans here in the USA. Just posted are both of the figures: Omega Supreme at $99 USD and and Optimus Prime at $70 USD for preorder now with a shipping date listed for April 2013. Get them while they are hot before they are not.
