Energon Rumors

Thanks to Planet Iacon, following up news Year Of Snake Platinum Series Optimus Prime and Omega Supreme releases in Singapore on January 22, we have some additional news that there will be two more Transformers Platinum Edition Exclusives coming later this year. It is not clear if these will be Year of Snake exclusives or something else. Stay tuned fore more details as they are made available. Leave a comment below with what two figures would you like to see made as Platinum Series exclusives.

Thanks to dy over at ACToys who has posted an image that appears to reveal two possible new releases for the Asian Transformers market next year. The image scanned from a magazine show two figures that will be offered as exclusives for Chinese New Year, February 2012. Shown are images of an Energon Optimus Prime and an Energon Omega Supreme that will have Year of the Snake designs much like we saw on Year of the Dragon Optimus Prime. That is all we have to go on at this time and fair to warn this my not be a sure thing. Stay tuned for more details as they are made available.

Thanks to our good friend and reliable source for all sorts of hot Transformers tips and tricks about what coming soon. His latest Twitter post gives us some support for the rumor circulation about a scaled up robot Scorpion figure in the works. According to the Tweet this figure has been revealed as the Energon Scorponok mold being offered in a limited production of 1000.

While talking to my uncle on the phone, he works at Wal-mart, I asked him if Kicker would be an Energon release. He checked his computer and confirmed it to be yes. He will come in a pack like the minicons. He should be coming out with the new series with Omega Supreme, Bulkhead, Cliffjumper, etc. He will be the normal value, 6.49. Don't want to wait? See a list of shops with the Super Link version here.

Thanks to EnergonMegatron of the Transformers froums for taking the time to actually call Hasbro and get the low-down on the figure that appeared on the cover of ToyFare #80. The word is this guy will be called "Shockblast" and it due for release in late 2004. See the full posting HERE.

Warm up your wallets kids! Toys R' Us online has posted what looks to be the first pre-order pages for the Energon series. The initial listings are somewhat confused, include the Energon heavies: Energ Unicron (Unicron?) AND Super Energon (Optimus Prime?). No prices are posted, all the pages say is "This item is out of stock."

A buddy got a chance to play with an Energon Prime and he was able to tell me a good bit more about this toy. There is more to this toy than you might think even if he is incredibly ugly. First off EPrime (E is Extra girth :) is MORE poseable than the small Superbase Optimus Prime figure. He has knees that can bend in his super mode. He also has foot, knee, pelvis and elbow joints. Read all the details HERE.

We have news from Asia about some of the features that will be in the Energon Optmus Prime figure. Hasbro surpised fans recently with a new figure that was somewhat different from the other Optimus Primes we have seen in the past. Don't get discouraged tough, this one is loaded with features that make this more than just another Autobot Leader. Read more about Energon Prime HERE.

We can make no comment about the events surrounding the accusations made about and its associates at this time. Please understand this is a matter we are not taking lightly. We will post an update here at the proper time. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
