IDW Publishing and Hasbro are thrilled to announce the launch of two new comic book series: TRANSFORMERS: FALL OF CYBERTRON and TRANSFORMERS PRIME – RAGE OF THE DINOBOTS. Together, these link the planet-shattering events of the Fall of Cyberton videogame (awarded E3’s Best of Show by Game Informer) with the ongoing story of the Emmy© award winning TRANSFORMERS PRIME animated series produced by Hasbro Studios and currently airing on The Hub TV network!




We have just stepped out of the IDW Publishing panel here at San Diego Comic Con 2012, and we have some great news for you! Not only will IDW be offering a comic to lead into the third season of Transformers Prime titled Rage of the Dinobots, but they have also announced an online-only comic book that will serve as the prequel to Transformers Fall of Cybertron video game. Fun Publications posted a two out of six pages from their BotCon 2012 exclusive Transformers Timelines Invasion Prologue comic book. Written by Jessse Wittenrich and Pete Sinclair, the setting is brought to life by Will Mangin with inks by Jake Isenberg and colors by Josh Burcham. The previews will eventually hit six pages, so check out the first two pages after the jump and more as they become available!




Simon Furman has announced that he will be offering signed copies of his comic book take of Beast Wars #1, the first in an unreleased six issue mini-series from the now-defunct Dreamwave Productions. The script will be available at whichever convention he will attend. It is also available at All The Cool Stuff for £4.00 (~$6 USD). In a blog post announcing this (he previously did this for unreleased War Within: Age of Wrath #4 and #5), he provided some back story on his thought process when crafting this Beast Wars tale. We've got word that the writer and artist behind the G1 comic revivial from IDW, Transformers ReGeneration One, Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman will be appearing at the London SuperCon February 25th - 26th, 2012. Simon will have his own table where you can get stuff signed and buy copies of scripts etc. Andrew will be at the IDW stand on Saturday towards the end of the day. Both will be joining the IDW panel. Attention UK Transformers comics fans! IDW Publishing will be appearing at the London Super Comic Convention the United Kingdom in February 2012. Taking place on February 25 and 26, 2012 at the Excel Centre, IDW Publishing's Editor-In-Chief Chris Ryall and company will be taking part in booths, panels, and exclusives. This will be the company's first appearance in any UK convention, so be sure to check them out if you are there! Read the full PR after the hop.




At IDW Publishing's San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Transformations Panel, it was announced that, after a large force of fans spoke out, Transformers #81 would be coming in Spring 2012. "[T]he original Marvel Transformers comic series (cancelled back in 1991 at issue #80) is being continued by IDW Publishing," Simon Furman writes on his blog, "thanks in large part to an online fan petition (big shouts for Luke and Ron of the IDW forums) and the tireless efforts of IDW [Editor In Chief] Chris Ryall." The publishing company has announced that on Saturday, July 23rd from 3:00 to 4:00, Mike Costa (Transformers Ongoing) and newly-minted Senior Editor John Barber will appear for autographs. A free limited signing card will also be available at this time, so be sure to stop by booth #2643!




IDW Publishing has announced their San Diego Comic-Con 2011 exclusives, including a variant cover of Transformers #22. The issue will be on sale this Wednesday at your local comic book store. The variant cover will be available at IDW's Comic-Con booth #2643 all weekend starting July 21st for $5.00. The variant cover has not been revealed yet, though, but we will be sure to let you know when they do!
