Galaxy Force Reviews

Join me as I discuss the finer points of this Japan Toys R Us exclusive giftset. I compare figures of the giftset to their non-exclusive counterparts in the Galaxy Force toy line and allow you to weigh the pros and cons of aquiring this giftset, which is available still on Shoppertron. One of the most anticipated figures from Galaxy Force has finally been released. Does he live up to the hype? And more importantly, does he live up to the name? I, for one, was ecstatic when I originally heard about Soundwave being in Galaxy Force. The original line art designs practically made me drool with envy. Then came the colored pictures, showing very G1 colors and style. Read the review here.

Galaxy Force has Convoy's a plenty, thanks to TFormers member Scoot Marble, we have a great review that give us the low down on the latest Convoy - Live Conovoy. This cool copter has generated a lot of buzz with fans, check out what all the hoopla is about here.

As his name suggest, Fang Wolf is a wolf of course. Taking on a palette of pearly off-white, dark and light blue and yellow, Fang Wolf has a great color combination. I personally love this color scheme. He also looks like an update of the G1 mechatronic-look of the beast Transformers. Fur is detailed on the back, back of the head and on parts of the legs. When I first saw this figure advertised in a magazine in early February, I knew it was a figure I had to have. Certainly it is not an original and Galaxy Force Exillion has been reviewed before. However, I thought a detailed inspection of this repaint, as well as clearer pictures of the figure may help others to determine if this guy is worth the high price he commands. For the benefit of the reader, I've included the normal blue Exillion and Energon Rodimus in the pictures for comparison. Read more here.

Noise Maze is a sleek futuristic stylish aerial attack vehicle. He is mainly black with silver for the front and wings; dark gold for part of the fins and sides and bright orange mainly on the underneath. Lime green is also used, but very sparingly, thankfully. The whole plane is delta-shaped, with two swept forward wings. Between these two wings, there are 2 swept-back ‘spike’ fins that properly serves as tail fins. Noise Maze definitely scores with this great looking mode. Read the review here.

His claws and force chip slot are painted gold. On his right hip, Dino Shout carries a small Destron faction symbol. Despite being small, Dino Shout is rather detailed. I personally love the details on the top of the fin and on the force chip area. It actually looks like his force chip slot is attached to a turbine! Read the review of GD-08 Dinoshout here.

Flame Convoy is a primarily dark gray and orange/dark yellow ground dragon. Despite having colors that will do well for a Cybertron side Transformers - make no mistake - Flame Convoy exudes a regal air of evil around him. Check out the review and pics here.

Skids is a 2-seater convertible while hiding in his alternate form. Primary off-white, Skids is also decorated with orange, sky blue, some silver and a little black. The colors are good, not exceptionally nice, but rather just average. The paint application is okay for Skids, except for the silver motif on the hood of the vehicle. See the complete review and pics here.

Autolander is a very intriguing looking vehicle. Some say his vehicular mode was based off the cancelled-Transtech Cheetor. Comparing sketches found over the net, he does bear more than a passing resemblance to him. Although so, my first impression of Autolander was, “He looks like a sneaker on wheels. See the complete review and pics here.

Megatron, the eternal arch nemesis of Convoy, returns to Galaxy Force in the form of Master Megatron. While Convoy always almost appear as a truck or something similar, many different forms have been used for Megatron. Tanks and jets are rather common but his new alternate mode in Galaxy Force is quite distant from those – Master Megatron returns as a cybertronian high-speed racing vehicle. Read the review here.
