The Hollywood Reporter has reported that a live-action Transformers event called Transformers Live
will open in China in 2017. The event is said to "be a cross between an action-adventure spectacle, a theme park attraction and a theatrical show," and is expected to feature custom robotics among other features. Keep reading to learn more!
Universal Studios Hollywood is gearing up the Chinese New Year with celebrations featuring Lunar New Year celebration that begins nect Saturday, January 30 to continue through Sunday, February 14, 2016. The celbration on the Universal Plaza will feature special decorations, performances and Megatron Speaks Mandarin from Transformers the Ride-3D as the star of the show. Hasbro held their quarterly earnings call where they reporting positive sales accross the board with the big push from the summer's Transformers: Age of Extinction movie success and support from other properties focused on Marvel and My Little Pony. Hasbro also used this event to announce the new relationships they have with Discovery after the demise of The Hub network and have announced their new division Allspark Pictures that will focus on the production their top brands for of Movies and Television.
Transformers@The Moon reports that this Sunday, Hasbro will open an exhibit in the Pawtucket, Rhode Island City Hall entitled "From Sketches To Product: Development of a Transformers Figure." The event will run for 3 months and will give a look at the process behind creating the Stomp & Chomp Grimlock figure for the Age of Extinction toyline.
