Animated Figures

Fun Publications has set the record straight on the BotCon 2011 attendee sets and the numbers that will be available at the convention. There are three sets this year, with Shattered Glass Galvatron and Thundercracker clocking in at 1800 copies, Sidwswipe and Toxitron at 1500, and Autorooper three-pack at 1500. We will have images of the sets soon, so be sure to check back!

Today I picked up the Toys R Us exclusive Transformers Animated Rodimus Minor figure. I thought I'd give it a quick review, so here we go! Jump through for the review!

In another series of reviews by Peaugh, he gives us looks at upcoming beloved Transformers Animated Deluxe Freeway Jazz and Voyager Workzone Bulkhead, the repaint of the original Voyager Bulkhead figure (previous analysis). Last but not least, we get a look at often looked at, but never-reviewed, Electrostatic Soundwave.

Thanks to GenZhao, we have another video review of one of the final Transformers Animated figures, Voyager Thundercracker. What does he think of the repaint of Voyager Starscream? Jump in to take a look and find out.

GenZhao brought us the first image gallery of the Transformers Animated Voyager Blackout, and now he has brought us a video review of the figure as well. The figure is about the same size as Transformers Blackout (albeit a little bulkier), and he seems a little impressed by the figure. Embedded video after the jump.

A Target mailer has gone out confirming that Animated Deluxes have been reduced to $8.99 at Target stores.

Coloring is nice, Jetsorm is very much like his Beast Machines name sake with the blue, cyan, and gold. Nice head design with a smirk and visor. Jetfire is more like Sunstorm with the orange and brown and grey. Light piping on his head gives him a kind of Human Torch look, goofy grin, and well..I'm not partial to the goggles hard molded, but gives him personality. Click here to read the review.

Thanks to Peugh who has posted a video review of the Transformers Animated Stealth Lockdown action figure that is just hitting Target stores now. Check out the review that gives us a look at the transparent goodness of this repainted figure here.

Hey Guys, FINALLY my review on the animated box set Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm and there combined form Safeguard. Special thanks to and Yizhi for providing the figures and to YouTubes Jetfire2004 for helping me make the intro. I hope you guys Enjoy and let me know what you guys think. Watch Now!

Images of "Transformers Animated" two-pack figures Jetfire and Jetstorm have been posted on the duo's preorder page at BigBadToyStore. These are the first images released of the two figures. Pictures of Jetfire and Jetstorm's robot modes, vehicle modes, and combined modes are all available for your viewing pleasure. The images also reveal that Jetfire and Jetstorm are members of the Autobot Elite Guard. The images may be viewed in the gallery.

The packaging description for the "Transformers Animated" Jetfire and Jetstorm two-pack has been posted on Entertainment Earth. The listing states that Jetfire and Jetstorm are "brothers in arms," and that "this thrilling set of twin jets features two awesome figures with their own personalities that can, for the big fight, combine and fight!" This set will be released in December 2008 at the voyager price point, and will include a DVD.

As a freebie with the Animated Voyager Shockwave, I got an Animated Activators Bandit Lockdown figure. He is a wave 3 figure along with Animated Activators Megatron and Grimlock. He is a repaint of Activators Lockdown (the third Lockdown repaint we seen so far). He is purple and orange with one black eye. He has a skull and spine paint theme in his alt mode and transforms the same and has the same articulation as other figures. Take a look at the video review.

An image of "Transformers Animated" Street Patrol Bumblebee has been posted on Target's website. The figure appears to be a slight repaint of Powerbot Cyber Speed Bumblebee. Street Patrol Bumblebee features black paint applications that are mostly likely an homage to Bumblebee's design in the 2007 live action movie.

At Auto Assembly 2008, Hasbro UK announced a new contest being held at If you make a purchase on between August 25th and September 14th, you will automatically be entered into a drawing to win one of three exclusive "Transformers Animated" figures. These figures are unique to the contest and differ from their main line counterparts. The three prize figures include new versions of leader Bulkhead, Roll Out Command Optimus Prime, and Battle Begins 2-Pack deluxe Megatron.

An Ebay auction for "Transformers Animated" Elite Guard Bumblebee gives us our first in-package pictures of the wave 4 Autobot figure. The auction, which is listed by seller "toys_yuen", showcases only the front side of Elite Guard Bumblebee's packaging.
