has provided us with our first look at the "Transformers Animated" Nintendo DS game that is heading our way in October. The article reveals that the game will be a sidescrolling platform game with fully 3D vehicle missions. The player will have to use different members of the Autobot cast to complete puzzles that utilize character-specific traits within each level. Each level requires the collection of three Allspark shards for completion. The game is being developed by Artificial Mind and Movement for Activision.
During the latest Activision road show, "Transformers Animated" was featured as one of the properties receiving its very own video game treatment. Reportedly, the "Animated" logo was featured among several logos that represented upcoming Activision video game titles. The game will be for the Nintendo DS video game system, and will be released in the fall. At the show, Activision also confirmed that they are working on a game tie-in for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".
