TakaraTomy has posted their exhibition schedule on their website, giving interested attendees of Tokyo Toy Show a heads up to what's on offer. Autobase Aichi has run down the Transformers-specific features of the two-day event. In addition to a movie Optimus Prime prop vehicle being on hand for photos and such, on Sunday there's an hour scheduled for a Transformers presentation, which is expected to be a product reveal/preview event. And of course there will be display cases at TakaraTomy's exhibit space as always, also likely to show some new goods. Tokyo Toy Show opens Saturday, June 3rd.

Thanks to Cybergundam and TAG Hobby we have scans from Figure King magazine issue 194, showing our first full color shots of Masterpiece Wheeljack, as well as a small shot of his Amazon Japan exclusive accessory Hypno-Chip Disruptor. Also seen in the scans are the vehicle form for Masterpiece Spike's Exosuit, and a full page showing off Movie Advanced Series Optimus Prime, the TakaraTomy equivalent to our Generations Movie series. This probably has to be a record of some kind. The rumor that Michael Bay was close to signing a deal to direct Transformers 4 surfaced yet again last night, but over the wee hours of the morning, Mr. Bay posted on his official website that he has not decided, but does not flat-out deny rumor, either. "Right now I'm not decided on Transformers 4," he posted on Shoot For the Edit. He says "[s]tudio's [sic] are passing rumors" but he is not sure what he is doing beyond shooting Pain and Gain in spring 2012. Continue reading...

Thanks to and who have been quite dilligent about scoping out the progress on Transformers: The Ride that will be opening in Singapore next year. These guys have spys working the cameras who have captured many new looks of the construction as well as the massive NEST retail store that will accompany the The Ride. Edgewave Electronics have released new Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon USB thumb drives in the form of Autobot and Decepticon faction symbols. Made of die cast metal, the USB drives offer storage sizes of 4GB ($34 USD) and 8GB ($43 USD). When plugged in, the "TF3" logo lights up in a cool blue glow. Best of all, these USB Bots transform in to a bottle opener whenever beer is in the vicinity. Check out the video after the jump and share your comments on these new Transformers USB drives from Edgewave Electronics.

From 11/18 to 12/11, purchase TF3 toys of totaling 3,000 Yen or more at Toys R Us Japan and receive a pair of Optimus Prime Battle Blades which can be held in his hands via handle grips for his hands or via Mechtech peg plugged in to the ports on his forearm on the upcoming Striker Optimus Prime (same mold as Jetwing Optimus Prime, just different redeco & accessories). This is meant to simulate the scene where he grabs the Battle Blade from his trailer armory in the movie.

This is becoming a tradition at Takara Tomy. Following the shareholders exclusive from 2006, we have news and an image via Yahoo! Japan that there is a new Tomica shareholders exclusive released. This one for the Transformers Dark of the Moon movie, has been made from a non-transforming Tomica die-cast truck with a large Transformers Dark of the Moon advertisement on the trailer. Keep an eye out for online retailers who may have limited quantities of these.

Hostess®, maker of America's most iconic snack cakes, is partnering with Paramount Home Entertainment this Halloween to offer consumers a chance to win a grand prize of $25,000 and a host of other "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" prizes with the "Transform Your Treat" instant win game. As part of the alliance, Hostess is also introducing limited-edition TRANSFORMERS-themed snack cakes featuring OPTIMUS PRIME®, SHOCKWAVE™, BUMBLEBEE™, and SENTINEL PRIME™ from the box-office blockbuster movie, based on the iconic Hasbro TRANSFORMERS brand, in grocery stores across the country.
