has posted listings with images for what are most likely the last two Crash Combiner sets! Primelock
(a combination of Optimus Prime & Grimlock) and Saberclaw
(Saberhorn & Bisk) are listed as being available in April 2018 - which is a date connected with a lot of Transformers listings of late. It's tough to say if these will ever show up at US domestic retail, but keep reading to see the images.
Robots in Disguise the TV show is over - the toyline isn't to be far behind, either - and it looks like as a closing bow, we're to be treated to some reveals of design and art assets from the development of the series. Artist Walter Gatus has posted quite a bit in his personal portfolio, featuring some early designs, and things going all the way through season 2 and the abbreviated "season 3" featuring Starscream. Fans of the show should find this an enjoyable experience to browse through, as there's lots of interesting stuff to be seen. Check it out mirrored below!
We're at the doorstep of a round of brand new toys, but before we get going on that, we have one more gallery to offer from a little farther back. Earlier this year with the Combiner Force refresh of Robots in Disguise came a new assortment of Warrior Class toys, and among them was Blurr - a crossover character from Rescue Bots! It also happens to be a really solid RID figure, if a tiny bit towards the "simple" side. We have 120 photos showing off both modes, transformation, poseability, and the accessory, and there's a race at the finish! Click through to find the complete gallery below!
Ronald McSanta has a little surprise for Transformers fans at McDonald's next month!
We say "little" because there is just one Transformers item in what is a special holiday train set that features an array of popular culture properties including Toy Story, Despicable Me, My Little Pony, Hot Wheels and others.
The Transformers toy offering is one from the Robots In Disguise series with Bumblebee sticking his head out a car-carrier type train car. See the image below for the full look.
Tonight we have a brand new gallery for you featuring what seems to be the final Warrior Class mold for the Robots in Disguise line, Twinferno. Distribution for this hasn't been great so far in the US, but it looks like it's starting to gain some traction. Sadly, Twinferno itself feels like a bit of a throwback to early RID toys. In my opinion at least, it lacks the improved feel that the Warrior Class molds have been developing for the last 12-18 months. But it's still got an interesting look in both modes, even if it's not super engaging beyond that. We have over 100 photos of it for you to check out, so click through and head to the gallery now!
Amazon has posted a new set of images for the Robots In Disguise: Combiner Force
Legion-class Twinferno! This is the second toy of the new character, and it's looking pretty good! We don't have any info on expected availability of this version at the moment, but we do have the product description. Keep reading to see!
The Transformers Cars
Facebook page has also posted images of the Prototypes display at HasCon 2017! There's a lot of grayscale figures from lines of recent years on display, and even a few color pieces like an unproduced Battle Damage War For Cybertron
Bumblebee! But also, there's a grayscale copy of Power of the Primes
Voyager Starscream... and he's wearing his special "Bucklers," which are undeniably dedicated feet for his Combiner Mode! Keep reading to see it all!
The usual Weibo sources have shared new images of the mysterious Neo-G1 styled toyline that is widely presumed to tie into the upcoming Cyberverse
! First off we've got a good look at Grimlock via his package back art - and if this is a Voyager as previous leaks suggested,
it's definitely going to be a Cyber Battalion-style Voyager at seven steps for transformation and less-than-generous paint. Also, card art for Optimus Prime and Megatron. Keep reading to see!
RID's been a great source for new characters and new designs, both of which are something Transformers very much needs a steady supply of. Today, TFW2005 user darkavenger
has posted images of his Legion class Twinferno, which was found at a Singapore ToysRUs. Keep reading to see!
Amazon Canada has posted images of the upcoming Robots In Disguise: Combiner Force
One-Step Changer Soundwave! It seems pretty nicely sculpted, and features the "open faceplate" design that swaps the G1 homage for a more appropriate for RID Transformers: Prime
look. Keep reading to see!
TFW2005 has posted slides from a Hasbro presentation to press and investors naming the successor to Transformers: Robots in Disguise
: Transformers Cyberverse!
Airing in 2018, the first season is being labeled as "Chapter One," with a second "chapter" due in 2019. This is speculated by 2005 to be the rumored "G1 Redux" series, especially since it uses G1 placeholder images in the presentation slide. But all we know for certain is the name and that it will follow in RID's footsteps as an ages 6-10 show. Keep reading for more info!
By way of Autobase Aichi, Facebook user Eddy Melendez
has shared a series of photos of Robots In Disguise
Custom Kreons! The characters available are Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Grimlock, and appear to be available in Regular, Blizzard Strike, and Night Strike color schemes. Each of the four characters comes with their own unique weapons, but the armor pieces seem to be repeated across all 12 variants. Keep reading for the photos!
BaCon's got a second gallery from the Hasbro Breakfast! This one sheds more light on Power of the Primes,
including a good back shot of Rodimus Prime. We've also got some new Robots In Disguise
Crash Combiners, including an Optimus/Grimlock combo! ("Primelock"?) Also, a look at Transformers: The Last Knight
as well as Titans Return
Slugslinger. Keep reading!
Our coverage team at SDCC has sent back photos of the Robots in Disguise and Rescue Bots merchandise being shown off tonight at the Hasbro booth, joining our earlier galleries of Titans Return and The Last Knight. Though it doesn't seem RID or Rescue Bots got the diorama treatment, they're still well shown and a welcome sight at Hasbro's preview night presence. You can find our gallery for these below!
HK-TF Facebook group member Yong Zhang
has posted of Thermidor, the recolor of Warrior-class Bisk that is part of the RID Combiner Force wave that's hitting Asia right now! If you claim you do not need a pretty blue lobster car robot in your life, you are a liar.
Zhang has also posted images of Twinferno, which put his color more in the red spectrum, both cementing the Dinobot tribute and disappointing people who liked the look of the orange. Aww. Keep reading to see!
