While the Deluxe price point seems to be a completely lost cause, we have word of a new Leader Class sighting from The Last Knight. flamingunicron
has reported, with photo, of the presence and purchase of Leader Wave 2 Dragonstorm at a Toys R Us in Cerritos, California. Only a gift receipt is shown, but we can assume this was stocked at the standard movie Leader price of $49.99. With this getting in the normal distribution system, it'll be time to start hunting once again if the two-in-one dragon robot is something you've been waiting for!
Originally believed to be an exclusive to Target stores in the US, the Voyager Class "Reveal The Shield" sub-branded Optimus Prime originally of the Dark of The Moon line was found today at Toys R Us in Mission Viejo, California by wtrz
. A mistaken shipment or other isolated shenanigans seem to be ruled out, as the package sports a Toys R Us exclusive sticker. This is complicated by the fact that the Reveal The Shield Turbo Changer multipack is being found at Target, as expected. Could this subline be a broader reaching exclusive than Mission to Cybertron and Autobots Unite? Click through to see the sighting photo.
This doesn't happen often, but we have a timely, first-hand sighting report to deliver to you tonight! At a Walmart just south of the Nashville area, I myself unexpectedly happened upon Premier Edition Scorn and Nitro (by the way, check out our video review of Nitro!
), who comprise Voyager wave 3. There was only one of each, but given the number of entirely undesired Grimlocks still out, it's a promising sign that these are showing up at all! Click through for an in-store photo.
Radio Free Cybertron's own Headmaster Don has spotted Planet Cybertron in a Greensboro, NC ToysRUS! The most G2 recolor of Transformers: Cybertron
Primus ever, Cybertron is exclusive to the ToysRUs Transformers: The Last Knight
"Mission To Cybertron" subline and runs about $150. That's pretty steep for a toy that was $50 12 years ago, but it's really, really pretty. Keep reading for photographic proof!
The Mission To Cybertron
Cybertron, the redeco of Transformers Cybertron
Cybertron Primus has had its first appearance at US retail! Speedjolt
found and photographed one at a Toys R Us location in Burbank. This follows from earlier sightings of the Optimus Prime two pack, and Deluxe Megatron and Skullitron showing that the Toys R Us exclusive subline is starting to work its way in to the system. You can find a copy of the sighting photo in the post below!
In the US, Target's website has brand new listings up for Premier Edition Hound and Megatron, making up the second Voyager assortment. Currently both listings are out of stock for both online ordering and any attempt to locate stock in stores, showing these to be placeholders - but it's a fair bet that inventory for these pages is probably not far behind. In-store distribution may be problematic if the Grimlock and Optimus supplies haven't thinned out, but it looks like at least one avenue for online purchasing is being presented. Keep reading for links to the product pages.
Just two days after we learned of its existence,
the Transformers: The Last Knight Mission To Cybertron
Optimus Prime 2-pack has been spotted at ToysRUs stores in Arizona and California! Click through for more details!
Amazon UK takes the lead(er) on Transformers The Last Knight, again, with new preorders just going up for leader class Optimus Prime and Megatron figures. The figures are priced at £45.56 GBP / $60 USD with no details about shipping date at this time, listed as Temporarily out of stock. Read on to see the images details and preorder info below.
Thanks to Amazon Spain, we have the latest update on what's coming our way for new Transformers The Last Knight action figures. The biggest reveal / confirmation is the Masterpiece Barricade release. Other listings include the Allspark figures, previously announced Masks, Masterpieces and some others you can see listed below.
With The Last Knight's toyline having been officially out at retail for only two and a half weeks as of this writing, we're already seeing our first reports of wave 2 product hitting regular retail in the US. Hurleychris07 found Sqweeks and Steelbane at a Target in Dumfries, Virginia. Worth noting that neither Drift nor Slug were found at this sighting. Previously Sqweeks and Drift had been available in the UK through the retailer Argos. How long might it be now before we see Megatron and Hound turn up to refresh the Voyager assortment? Photo proof of the find can be seen in the full post below.
From an area not typically known for first sightings, Illinois has provided a couple instances for us today. In the towns of Matteson and Niles, the Knight Armor or Armor Up Turbo Changer Megatron figure has been spotted at Toys R Us. This is part of a second assortment of the figures, though no additional new toys were found, so Megatron is probably reshipping with a first wave figure. Thanks to Dah Padre
and Jason Blue Boost
for the heads up and a photo.
TFW2005 user Shark Jumper
has found Blitzwing and Oct
ne at a Manhattan Beach, CA Target! ...for $29. Ow. Target's been known to arbitrarily mark things up to a ridiculous degree in select locations, so this may not be indicative of Generations rising to meet the Transformers: The Last Knight
Premier Edition price point. Time will tell. But for now, keep reading to see the photographic proof!
Thanks to Eric Crownover, AKA @ErimusPrime on Twitter, for our latest sighting: a Toys R Us store in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, has put out the first wave of Transformers: The Last Knight
Legion-class figures a couple weeks early! The TF5 street date has been among the leakier in recent memory, with almost every class of figure popping up somewhere. Keep reading for photographic proof!
With just barely over ten days left before the actual street date, we have yet another early release sighting to share. This time we have a sighting of the Premier Edition Deluxes at a Toys R Us somewhere in northern California. Stuntastic
reported the sighting, with photos of Barricade and Slash in package for proof. No word on if the store permitted the sale of them yet or if they are locked out at the register as one would expect. As we inch closer and closer, we can probably expect these early on shelf appearances to keep increasing. Good luck to anyone hoping to make an early find!
In fact, we know exactly what cost. Cloudhopper on cybertron.ca shared a find from a Toys R Us somewhere in Quebec, showing Voyager and Deluxe Premier Edition figures stocked out, complete with price tags, and oh what prices these are. Deluxes at $29.99, and Voyagers $39.99, all Canadian dollars, naturally. But taken with current exchange rates and this finding reflects the increased MSRP of the new movie toyline, as the prices correspond exactly to the $30 Voyager price tag, and just slightly above our $20 Deluxe level. But we don't expect that fact makes this any easier to swallow, and let's hope for other retailers to aim just a bit lower.
