Get the scoop on the yearly special edition with looks at the figures that are revealed as redecos of the Transformers Classics Optimus and Megatron molds with very interesting re-decos.

The official site has been updated with images for the Transformers Classics ACE Asia Exclusive Seekers Figures Set. This one is a little lighter than the original promo image suggested with just three figures in the set including the mainstay Seekers Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp that are described to have a metallic finish and specially designed packaging. The ACE set will be released on December 21, 2012 to selected countries In Asia, excluding Japan. See the images now for more details.

Ah the Classics seekers, they have lived a turbulent life. Originally banished to TCC BotCon set when Hasbro insisted they would never be offered again. We saw them appear under Henkei line after many paid dearly for the BotCon set. Now, the shackles are off the whole force with a reveal of a possible Asia Exclusive set featuring the six Classics / Henkei seekers action figures. There is just an illustrated image now by way of Planet Iacon showing Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp and the Coneheads. Stay tuned for more details as they happen.

Takara Tomy's edition of the Generations Constructicons have been revealed on the Transformers Asia site with a new promotional image Energon Bruticus, NOT the Fall of Cybertron mold as many people had assumed. This will be an Asia Exclusive release, excluding Japan to be released October 18, 2012. The image shows the figure with a somewhat G1 color theme. Check out the image for more details.

Thanks to Brock Landers at Kapow toys forum who have posted many new images of the New Images of Transformers Asia Exclusive Henkei / Classics Ultra Magnus action figure that will be released later this month. These images give us some better looks at the new figure and how its colors differ from the original Classics Ultra Magnus release.

Transformers Classics Ultra Magnus has been officially revealed on the Transformers Asia site. Fans who missed the Hasbro release will be able to pick this guy up for a premium price at around $68 USD from over seas. The listing describes Special designed new packaging, new deco, and chrome parts. Rumor has it that they have enlarged the figure slightly. Be forewarned, it may not be compatible with some Third Party kits made for the Hasbro mold. Look for this toy to ship in China only September 28th. Get a look at the Classics Ultra Magnus after the jump.

Update: We have been able to independently confirm that the set is indeed an Asia exclusive. Thank to the Allspark who are reporting that the Challenge at Cybertron 3 Pack with the G1 cartoon colors Cyclonus, Rodimus, and Galvatron is NOT going to be offered in the USA. According to Hasbro's PR group, the figure set is slated to be an Asia exclusive only at this time. It was previously rumored that the set would be carried by Target stores in the U.S. However, never say never. You can still order these sets from BigBadToyStore.com!

Thanks to HK-TF who have posted an image of the Transformers Challenge at Cybertron deluxe class three pack that will be offered with redeco / reissuses of the Calssics series action figures Cyclonus, Galvatron and Rodimus in the package. This figure set is slated for release sometime in August 2010 and will be available at BBTS and TFsource.

Thanks to TFclub member Dennis736 who has posted some new shots of a what appears to be Universe 3-Pack that will include the Transformers deluxe class Glavaton, Cyclonus and Hot Rodimus action figures.

In a recent video review by Peaugh of the blue repaint of Transformers Classics Bumblebee a.k.a. Glyph, we have reached the conclusion that other than the new paint job, the figure does not offer anything new. He speculates that because of the chrome, it is most likely a TakaraTomy release, but he also in the dark on what purpose this repaint will serve, just like the rest of us.

Update: Another auction has popped up. Check the full article for more information. So we are not exactly sure why this Transformers Classics Deluxe Bumblebee has been repainted blue, and neither does tfctoy, according to this most recent auction. According to the auction description, tfctoy calls it an "unknown version Bumblebee," and it might be a Japanese "Lucky Draw, testshoot, prototype, etc." The last time a Bumblebee was repainted blue, it was a BotCon 2002 exclusive named Glyph. What do you think this figure's deal is? Speculate in the forums!

It's been a rainy time here in the Washington DC area this week, so it's basically been a "case of the freaking weekdays" here in this portion of the TFormers offices. "Ranjawz64ls" is selling a heavily customized Generation 1 Ultra Magnus trailer that may now be fitted onto a Voyager Classics Ultra Magnus figure. Read more.

Classics Megatron was possibly the best mold of the character to date. I absolutely love the proportions, the menacing face, the giant arm scope…. but he came in Nerf colors! That’s been fixed as you can see, Megatron sporting a silver metallic finish with red metallics and black detailing. There's some gunmetal and purple but that’s it as I tried to stay true to a nice G1 color for him without tons of weathering and such. Read More

This time we feature Jin Saotome's 6” tall Warpath custom Transformers Classics figure (KABOOM!) with working rubsign that's been styled like the original G1 figure. He has multiple points of articulation (BLAM!) meaning you can pose him in all sorts of awesome Decepticon-blasting poses and he’ll look great in every one. Transforming Warpath won’t affect the paint job and he converts from robot to assault-tank form (ZING!) easily. Read More
