Cybertron Con 2016 - New Details Revealed From Product Preview And Q&A

TFCLUB on Weibo has collected together some of the information revealed from Cybertron Con, some of which we're hearing for the first time. Among things already known to us are Liokaiser's status as a Platinum Edition set, and apparent acknowledgement of the gun-to-submarine transition in Sixshot, we have some really interesting hints about things that maybe are yet to come in Titans Return, and even beyond? Keep reading to find out more!

This was presented in Chinese originally, and we're working between two automated translations for the best interpretation of the meaning.

First, it's being said that the aircraft mode seen on Voyager Optimus is inspired by the F-104 Starfighter - an old jet aircraft that does indeed look like a winged Pringles can, though obviously rather more elegant than Optimus Prime has managed.

Sixshot adopting a submarine mode rather than a gun is confirmed to be a workaround for US laws. While the information that was presented gave no indication of an official acknowledgement, everyone so far who's seen a picture agrees the replacement "submarine" mode is for all practical purposes the gun turned upside down.

It was hinted that Titans Return may see Dinobots in the line. We're presuming this is separate from the Titans Masters already revealed that are based on the likenesses of Grimlock and Swoop.

Along a similar line mention was made that a beast combiner might be coming up, but of course no further detail on that was given.

Finally, a quick note about Trypticon says that the base mode would actually take up a greater area than Titan Metroplex's base mode! While that seems in any case to imply Trypticon will be bigger overall in at least one mode, it might also simply mean that less of the area it takes up would be empty space between chunks of the toy, while not being an overall larger footprint.
