by News_Staff on Tuesday Dec 12th, 2006
Released at the very end of the line, the confusingly named Galaxy Force Optimus Prime comes to us as a somewhat dark recdeco of the original red, silver and blue Prime motif. Many fans complained the figure lacked enough redecoration to make it a worth while re-issue. Those of us who love Optimus Prime see this as a welcome addition to the very enjoyable Cybertron line and our collections. Check out the pics of his robot modes in the image gallery.

Review - Cybertron Smokescreen
by News_Staff on Wednesday Sep 27th, 2006
In the G1 days, Smokescreen was aptly named because he could put out a smoke camoflauge. His alt mode was a 4th generation Nissan Fairlady Z (or ZX for the americana), more specifically the early 80s 280ZX with the snubnose. He disappeared for awhile, then reappeared in Armada as a crane truck. This didn't seem fitting at all and you have to still wonder how that happened. There were rumors that he was making a return in Cybertron having his alt form as a sports car. However, the 11th hour had his mold name changed to Crosswise. Why is anyone's guess. Whether they planned this from the start or bowed to fandom complaints, Crosswise has been repainted and is now issued as Smokescreen. Read More

Review - Cybertron Cryo Scourge
by News_Staff on Sunday Sep 17th, 2006
While Scourge was a Unicron cronie back in G1, lately Scourge has taken on a different role. Mainly, he has become Optimus Prime's evil side in most cases. Also known as Nemesis Prime in some of the other lines, Scourge has been the polar opposite of Prime made to confront and destroy Prime. However, Scourge had a different role this time. He is now a rogue Prime that defected to the Jungle Planet and proceeded to overrule it. However, his fighting with the Autobots and subsequent abandon into deep space has altered his form and made him a very cold being in more ways than one. Read More
