This Sunday is the day to pay a visit to the centre of the Netherlands. In Sports and Event Centre Merwestein TF-Conversions will kick-off the 25th anniversary of the Transformers with a big Convention. Loads of dealers and fan dealers will sell Transformers from all generations. Cartoon artists and kit-bashers will show their work and give demonstrations on how to draw or build your own Transformer.

Overall, this is a great Transformer kids book. A cut above what we’ve come to expect in this arena. With any luck they’ll make a dozen more of these. It’s clear a lot of thought and effort went into this, and the result is a book kids can enjoy, and even older fans will get a kick out of. Click here for the full review.
No, we're not two months late on the April Fool's joke, nor is this The Onion - TFormers edition. A Windsor, Ontario man created a three hour stand-off last week after he became very upset after an apparent eviction from his apartment. How? While he was "waving and yelling" during his tirade, he was also pointing his Generation 1 Megatron in gun mode outside the window of his apartment, according to The Windsor Star. Obviously somebody called the cops, and a nearby elementary school went into lockdown mode as a precaution. The man was arrested without fuss.

If you’ve seen the previews for Spotlight: Metroplex you know this issues big gimmick, emphasis on big. Conveying the sense of scale visually is the task of excellent IDW artist Marcelo Matere, and he’s got plenty of room to do it. With the exceptions of the first and last pages, by necessity, all of Spotlight: Metroplex is told in full two page spreads.

Until then, fellow Hailers, wet your appetite with these awesome images from next week's climactic calamitous confrontation. The movie may be only a week away, but this is the Transformers spectacle I've been waiting for.
Spotlight: Cliffjumper, is great, but it could have been amazing. The story is a bit predictable, but the over all quality of the art and writing give it an edge. Unfortunately, IDW’s Achilles’ heel rears it’s ugly head here, as function defeats form. It’s still a solid comic, but there was potential for more. Read the Full Review here.
SGCollect has posted the first pictures of the Cybertronian Drift model kit that they are producing as a limited edition convention exclusive. Only 300 pieces will be made of this DFT-01 Kit and as you can see from the images, is in scale with a Classics Rodimus figure. Available sometime in July 2009, the set will cost 110 SGD (~$75 USD), and yes, overseas orders will be accepted. Instructions on pre-ordering are now available.
Thanks to ACToys.net we have a batch of new prototype images of the Just-i-Toys WST Transformers G1 Blaster action figure that we reported on previously. What's most impressive is they've done a really nice job with the sculpt on alternate mode. Even without proper colors and paint applications, we can see it is going to look great.
Fan-made accessory company BTS.TOY has updated their site with new prototype images of their Classic Optimus Prime trailer kit. The new images show what the trailer will actually look like. Theses images show something quite different from what we've seen before, here's to hoping there is a nice surprise or two inside the trailer.
