IDW has released a new 5-Page preview from Transformers Continium. The new comic is a Universe of sorts covering elements from the Transformers Infiltration series and everything in-between to the epic All Hail Megatron series. Read the preview from IDW on what's in store.
Kathy Samuels – an industry veteran with a proven track record of success during stints at both CBS Television Distribution Group (CTDG) and NBC – has been named Executive Producer at the newly-formed, Los Angeles-based Hasbro Studios. In this new role, Samuels will be responsible for overseeing production on a number of the Studio’s creative initiatives, covering a variety of program genres.

Andrew Wildman has updated his Wildwords BLOG with yet another auction. This time for his original Transformers issue #74 comic book artwork. This one is really sweet with Optimus Prime and Scorponok fighting side by side against the horde of Unicron followers. The art work is just amazing with a gaggle of elfish looking Unicron's overwhelming Prime and Scorpy. Even cooler, Wildman includes the UPS artwork for the 2nd cover.

Sorry Hasbro, but the Animated Arcee coming next year has nothing on the new figure from Impossible toys. It took 25 years and numerous failed attempts by fans to produce a viable Arcee. Now thanks to Daren of HK-TF.com who has posted some of our first looks at a custom figure.
GenZhao of KOToys have posted some new images of Transformers that are described as "prototypes of toys in development." Without much more information on what the figures are, there's much to speculate about. The figures appear to Cybertronian in nature with exotic stylings that don't echo any production cars we know of. Could these be the new transformers Hasbro hinted at recently? Just in is news that Del Rey books will be releasing a new science fiction novel based on the Transformers property titled "Transformers: Exodus." The book is being written by author Alex Irvine. What's quite interesting about this book is it is over 350 pages long. So this looks to be something of epic proportions, not just another kids book. One can only ponder the possibilities.

The Allspark has posted part 3 of their Paramount Press Junket with the Hasbro. In addition to the Orci and Kurtzman event on Thrursday, this event was held on Friday. Aaron Archer and Michael Ballog gave presentations on the history and milestones behind the 25 year old Transfornmers followed by Q&A. There are some nice bits of information such as 75% of Men 25 to 35 played with Transformers, The 3rd motorbike will be named "Elita-1" to be released in 2010 and more. Thanks to GenZhao, we finally have some out of the box shots of the Commemorative Edition Generation 1 Perceptor. The figure will be out exclusively at Toys R Us stores sometime quite soon. According to GenZhao's posting over at KO Toys, the figure's gun no longer has the spring.
Shout Factory is commemorating the 25th anniversary of Transformers with a complete 16 DVD set depicting all 3+ seasons of Generation One. The sets are now shipping to those who pre-ordered them on their website. We recently received our own box set, and now have in depth images of what the boxed set contains, including a screen shot of the title menu. Look for an in-depth review later this weekend, but for now enjoy the images!
SGCollect has posted the first pictures of the Cybertronian Drift model kit that they are producing as a limited edition convention exclusive. Only 300 pieces will be made of this DFT-01 Kit and as you can see from the images, is in scale with a Classics Rodimus figure. Available sometime in July 2009, the set will cost 110 SGD (~$75 USD), and yes, overseas orders will be accepted. Instructions on pre-ordering are now available.
Thanks to ACToys.net we have a batch of new prototype images of the Just-i-Toys WST Transformers G1 Blaster action figure that we reported on previously. What's most impressive is they've done a really nice job with the sculpt on alternate mode. Even without proper colors and paint applications, we can see it is going to look great.
Fan-made accessory company BTS.TOY has updated their site with new prototype images of their Classic Optimus Prime trailer kit. The new images show what the trailer will actually look like. Theses images show something quite different from what we've seen before, here's to hoping there is a nice surprise or two inside the trailer.
