Tekkaus has posted a video and images of a transforming truck similar in makeup to Movie Optimus Prime, as the posting says Kwansformer which is the "reincarnation" of China's arguably greatest warrior of all time-General Guan Yu! Costing $43,000 and weighing in at two tonnes, the vehicle is based around one of the first autos ever built in China. This wasn't just your average art project from Bi Heng. Take a look at a video embedded after the jump.

Thanks to our chums over at TF @ Moon who have informed us that Hasbro have filed for 4 new Transformers related trademarks with the USPTO. but here is the list of all of the new applications: SPARK YOUR SUMMER, AUTOBOT ALLIANCE, DESTINATION EARTH and UNLOCK THE SECRETS

I was talking with Thomas, the owner of Toyarena.com, and while learning more about the upcoming TakaraTomy Masterpiece MP-09 Rodimus Prime, he told me that Hasbro will be giving this mold the United States treatment, but with some twists. In his email reply to my inquiry, he told me that "the Hasbro version of Masterpiece Rodimus will not have the trailer. But, it will have a Targetmaster." Read more.

YouTube review JTMitchell87 loaded up on the caffeine and posted a detailed review of Hasbro's version of MP Grimlock. Covering the gimmicks, articulation, pros and cons JTMitchell87 gives us 16+ minutes of Grimlock coverage.

Awesome stuff this month, starting with stickers for Animated Arcee, by Justin: Awesome upgrade set for Battletrap, the G1 Duocon. Upgrade set for the new Universe War For Cybertron toys, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. Classic style labels add character to your BC white Ravage, based on the Kiss Players "Glit" figure. And finally, a sticker set for your Classics Ramjet! And as a reminder, we are still offering a free "Compendium" sticker set with every $15 you spend at Reprolabels.com!

"Prepare for extermination!" should have been the opening line of Ironhide issue #4 written by Mike Costa, as Ironhide becomes the epiphany of what a Transforming bug buster would be in IDW verse. What is beautiful about the first half of this comic is the artwork, laying out a contemplated strategy of images illustrating how Ironhide accomplishes his task. The art team, Coller and LaFuente, once again deliver a marvelous issue. - Read Review

With the continuing support of the North American Masterpiece line, it was just a matter of time before MP-08 would be released outside of Japan. With the exception of Megatron, every core Masterpiece had been made available about a year after their Japanese release. Well...the time has come and non-importing Transformers consumers can now get their grubby hands on Masterpiece Grimlock. - Read the Review

The nine issues of the Transformers Ongoing that we have had so far has done little to dispell the the fear and doubts that our beloved Transformers are in the right hands. There have been many high and low points, but the series has never seemed to pick up steam and move ahead. And it hasn't been, well, fun. Read the Review

Let's say that somehow in some way you became head of the Transformers department at Hasbro (and like many of us wish that we can do) and had a say in the decisions on the figures design? What would you do? Join the discussion and share your "King Toy Designer for a Day" scenario - Post Yours Now

Nothing seems to be moving right now---there's just a glut of transformers in every genre, size and shape---what a terrible time to be a seller. Tons of no-bids and exhorbitantly priced buy-it-nows, and very little product moving. Looks like a buyer's market to me. How to feel about Ebay and the state of Transformers collecting? Post your comments in the forums discussion.

Diamond Distributions have released their shipping list for comics that will be released on Wednesday August 11, 2010. We have the Transformers comics and related products that will be released then. Thanks to Chris who sent in a report about USA MP Grimlock: Just letting you guys know that I got a shipping confirmation for my Grimlock from TRU.com. Luckily I pre-ordered it when it was $59.99 and free shipping. It was back-ordered but NOT out of stock, so it looks like they were able to fulfill it! Thanks to John Rio for letting us know that Grimlock is heading to his doorstep, too!

Just in is more news from Xovergen who has been working on a new fan-made Transformer action figure they are calling the Grand Patriot Production ver 1.0. The Patriot ground vehicles is a truck with heavy weaponry mode for the trailer that also converts into a base with ballistic missile launchers. The figure is based on Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime that was based on the GI Joe vehicle from the crossover comic series.

Thanks to Shout! Factory who's sent out the cover art for the Transformers Generations 1 DVD cover to Season 3 and 4. Looks more art work by Andrew Griffith. Looks like artwork by Andrew Griffith. This one's got Rodimus holding up the Matrix to ward off the Decepticon warriors Scourge, Cyclonus and Galvatron as Unicron's head looms in the distance. Pretty spiffy. This set will be out April 20, 2010 for an MSRP of $29.95. Check out the cover and more details after the jump.

Many thanks to Andrew Griffith who has been working on some of the covers for the Generation 1 DVDs that have been re-released by Shout Factory. Andrew has posted a hi-res version of artwork for G1 Season 2 Volume 2 box art on his Deviant Art page. Get a first look at the artwork featuring Soundwave and Ravage facing Blaster with a little help from some friends.

Apocalypse Comics will be bringing two exclusive IDW variants to this years New York Comic Con. The first is for Transformers #12, which is a homage to the classic Jack Kirby cover of X-Men #1. The second is for GI Joe #23, which is a homage to the unforgettable "Apocalypse Now!" movie poster.

A few months back, a call was sent out for artists and colourists interested in working on an all new Transformers project created by the managers of "Transformers: Mosaic." We had a fantastic response and have been able to recruit some incredible talent from the fan base. Everyone has been working very hard on this project with some very impressive results and we are now at a point where we can share a little bit more about the project. So, without further ado... Thanks to the chenkofs over at Actoys who has posted a batch of images showing off the Transformers Generation 1 Seacons reissue that will be in stores next month. Get a close look at each of the Seacon robots, alternate modes, profile cards and more after the jump. Note: this is the mass market edition of the Seacons. Not the one BBTS has for sale that is true G1 colors.

Mirror mirror on the wall, can it really be there's an acution for the rarest Megatron of them all? The folks who bring us Lee's Toy Review magazine appear to have one of the ultra rare Hasbro 1994 Megatron Advanced Tactical Bomber action figures up for auction on Ebay. This figure was a bit of a myth for a time until one showed up at BotCon years ago. There's much debate over their being released or not. The extreme rarity and $5,500 starting bid suggests they were not.

Thanks to GenZhao, we finally have some out of the box shots of the Commemorative Edition Generation 1 Perceptor. The figure will be out exclusively at Toys R Us stores sometime quite soon. According to GenZhao's posting over at KO Toys, the figure's gun no longer has the spring.

Shout Factory is commemorating the 25th anniversary of Transformers with a complete 16 DVD set depicting all 3+ seasons of Generation One. The sets are now shipping to those who pre-ordered them on their website. We recently received our own box set, and now have in depth images of what the boxed set contains, including a screen shot of the title menu. Look for an in-depth review later this weekend, but for now enjoy the images!

SGCollect has posted the first pictures of the Cybertronian Drift model kit that they are producing as a limited edition convention exclusive. Only 300 pieces will be made of this DFT-01 Kit and as you can see from the images, is in scale with a Classics Rodimus figure. Available sometime in July 2009, the set will cost 110 SGD (~$75 USD), and yes, overseas orders will be accepted. Instructions on pre-ordering are now available.
