Cyberverse
Usual Weibo leaker has posted four new images of the Transformers "Authentics" budget line! This time we get robot mode and packaged shots of Megatron and Starscream, who look pretty decent for what they'll probably end up costing. The figures sport basic ball-jointed articulation at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees - which is actually decent grading on the cheap toys curve. Keep reading to see!
Generations
So as of about 10 days ago at HasCon, it's official: Power of the Primes, the third and final leg in the Prime Wars Trilogy, will return to combiners! And we're fine with that - or so say the row of Combiner Wars boxsets RAC has in his room. Combiner Wars was fun, and produced some good toys... but it wasn't perfect. There's room for improvement, and he thought of some areas that it'd be nice to see Power of the Primes address. Keep reading!
Transformers Movies
The US Patent Office's website has posted pages for two new trademark applications from Hasbro. One is the name "Movie Edition" and includes a logo - it seems pretty likely this will be the name of the movie line from the big summer leaks. The other, "Cybertron," is specifically filed for in relation to the trademark "Cyberverse" - which seems sensible enough to us! Keep reading for the info, and a look at the Movie Edition logo.
Third Party
In more unofficial Combaticon news, Iron Factory has shared photos on their Weibo account showing the contents of the War Giant Attackers two pack, which consists of their Legends-sized representations of Swindle and Brawl. Perhaps most notable about them is the heights of their robot modes vary considerably, where most interpretations keep them similar. Plus, via alucardlee, we have some full color shots of the complete War Giant that reveal a very articulate and oddly expressive combined form. You can find the full range of photos below!
Third Party
On Weibo, we have some unofficial Combaticon updates via alucardlee. First up is images of a color testshot of the Onslaught to Unique Toys' larger scale Combaticon lineup. It seems to currently be without a revealed trade name, but despite that we get to have a good look at robot and vehicle modes, as well as how it stacks up next to the set's Swindle and Brawl-analogues. A partial build of Bruticus is done as well to demonstrate the proportions at this stage of development. We've mirrored the photos for your convenience, click through to have a look!
Cyberverse
UPDATE: Facebook group TFCN has updated with two more photos of the figures and an update stating that they've been reminded that these are not, in fact, Transformers Cyberverse figures. They're most likely part of the "Authentics" budget toy line revealed in the leak of a couple months ago. Keep reading to see Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in both modes and on-card!
Conventions Center

If you didn't get your Arcee, you should participate in our 18th anniversary contest! One of the more immediate questions post Has-Con was "so if Arcee is going to retail, then where and when?" We now have answers to both those questions: ToysRUs, October 5th! The embattled retailer has put up a page on their website announcing the figure and when it is scheduled to be sold. And the page also makes mention of in-store availability! Keep reading for details!
Generation 1
Twitter user @miiakira2017 has once again posted some new G1 design sketches! This time, it's for a pretty interesting footnote in Transformers history: an unproduced Transformers Personal Organizer! The book would've had a few real pages, backed by a stack of dummy pages that then turned into a robot. Autobot and Decepticon versions were designed with slightly different surface details for each. Keep reading to see!
MasterPiece
The Facebook group Transformers: Rarity of Convoy has posted images of an MP-36 Megatron in vac-metal gold! Even the accessories have been redone in various types of golden plastic this time around. We don't yet know how many will be available or how, but if we had to guess on those our answers would be "less than 10" and "in a Japan-only contest." Keep reading to see!
Transformers 5 The Last Knight
While the Deluxe price point seems to be a completely lost cause, we have word of a new Leader Class sighting from The Last Knight. flamingunicron has reported, with photo, of the presence and purchase of Leader Wave 2 Dragonstorm at a Toys R Us in Cerritos, California. Only a gift receipt is shown, but we can assume this was stocked at the standard movie Leader price of $49.99. With this getting in the normal distribution system, it'll be time to start hunting once again if the two-in-one dragon robot is something you've been waiting for!
Generations
This nearly slipped past us yesterday! The @tfwiki Twitter has posted a photo of the resin Volcanicus prototype from HasCon that shows yet another way to dispose of your two spare hands. See, Voyager torsobots are now going to ship with a pair of dedicated feet, and each limb will have its own separate hand. But there's another way to stow them, one that might even be more beneficial than padding out Dinobot Combiner Volcanicus' torso. Read on to find out!
Generation 1
Thanks to @miiakira2017 on Twitter we have even more looks at early Transformers concept designs from Japan. These are more even more fantastic than before with looks at two different base concepts. The first is what looks like a transforming case that is a mock mountain that opens up to reveal a multi-teir base with all kinds of ramps, ladders, weapons and what appears to be Sky Spy type probe. The other is much more Diaclone looking with a big carrier type base with tiny-looking tank treads to indicate scale.
RID 2015
Via the McDonald's Happy Meal website, we've got the promo image for the next Happy Meal theme coming to McDonald's locations in the US. Robots in Disguise will be making its third appearance alongside a hamburger and apple chips, featuring character figures of Bumblebee, Optimus, Strongarm, and Grimlock, as well as small masks of each of the characters. As is the typical process, the promotion runs with a My Little Pony option for kids more interested in that than robots. We've copied the Transformers promo image, click through to take a look!
