Astrotrain is very clearly Sentinel Prime... or rather, Sentinel Prime was obviously a "pretool" of Astrotrain, considering just how good a rendition of the G1 cartoon character this is. Sentinel Prime's combat earmuffs even make sense now as the blocks on Astrotrain's shoulders! As with Sentinel, this is a solid if basic figure that does everything it tries to do pretty well. Click here to see 94 photos of Astrotrain and his Titan Master partner Darkmoon!
The Earth based Autobots are doing cleanup operations in the aftermath of the final battle with Galvatron''s Decepticon faction. Meanwhile, Earth''s new Autobot City has its first visitor, none other than the resurrected Sentinel Prime, and he has some business with Alpha Trion... "Titans Return: White Light" is written by John Barber and drawn by Livio Ramondelli. Click here to read the review!
It seems the Unique Toys Legends-scale unofficial figures of Headmasters Chromedome and Weirdwolf have hit shops in Hong Kong, as we have a nice set of photos from Facebook user Yip Wai Lun Yip who chose possibly the best way to demonstrate these: using Titans return Fortess Maximus! The figures, codenamed Tom and Jerry, scale very nicely to the Titan Master city, and afford a comparative look at the height of their working Headmasters next to Emissary, who towers over them! No clear word on which is Tom and which is Jerry, but you can find all the mirrored photos below!
It seems these days every character has earned a war of unofficial products! The latest on this score is Trailbreaker who has just had a new MP-style figure announced by FansToys. Outrider does a good job at cutting from the design of the cartoon, while scaling maybe a little on the large side in robot mode as indicated in a comparison with several official Masterpiece Autobots. With a product code of FT-25, it seems like this one will still be a ways off, but if FansToys is your preferred third party design style, it looks like another figure could be joining your collection! Tech site, Mashable, has shared a bit of interesting news that wiil add another brick to the Transformers: The Last Knight wall. As we alll know by know, the title really does mean there will be some kind of medevil element in the 5th transformers move.
This post gives us work of not only that King Arthur will be making an appearence, but it could be actor Liam Garrigan of "Once Upon a Time", and other shows. who's playing him. The actor is clearly more than ready to handle this kind of role. However, its hard not to feel like more Knights, mean less Bots.
Our next entry in photography of Titans Return Deluxe wave 2 is Highbrow! Sharing parts and engineering with Scourge, but in a way where you wouldn't realize it most of the time without looking at them side by side. As it has been with many things recently, this goes beyond the common idea of "retooling" to get from one to the next. However, while Chromedome rose above its origins as an engineering retread, Highbrow may not have pulled the trick off so well. We have over 100 photos for you to check out, and look for a proper review coming soon! Keep reading to see the gallery...
It's been a while, but by way of one Mr Chaos who has related reliable information in this area before we have some info on future product assortments for Titans Return. Coincidentally verifying Broadside, whose color testshot we got a first look at yesterday
, we have some additional Voyagers, Titans Masters, and a Legends assortment to look forward to! You can find all of that information in the full article below, so keep reading and let's see what's up!

This weekend in Hong Kong, Maketoys held a "trial play" event where guests could get hands on time with some upcoming releases. The stars apparently were Despotron, the Re:Master series unofficial Masterpiece Megatron, as well as a Megatron-alike in their Cybertronian-style Cross Dimension series. A presentation also showed some concept art including seekers and an evident Ultra Magnus. Victor Wong took lots of photos at the event, and we have those shots mirrored in our gallery below. Keep reading and check it out!
There's only one `80s Triple-Changer that we've yet to get in the modern line: Broadside, the figure that changes from aircraft carrier to jet to robot. TFND has just posted an image to their Facebook page of a new Titans Return figure that looks very much to be a modern Broadside! The blue cockpit is correct, as is the general gray, red and dark gray color scheme. The earliest this could possibly be released is in the second 2017 wave, so this is quite an early find! Keep reading to see the photo.
Finally tonight is a look at Scourge from TakaraTomy's Legends line. While not as huge a difference as Blurr from its Hasbro counterpart, Scourge gains some much needed color and contrast variation. Once again Twitter users Alfes2010 and tagoal have provided some nice looks at this figure that do a good job highlighting its strengths versus the Titans Return release. And of course, we get to see the intentional but largely undocumented vehicle variation with the Titan Master attached to the main pylon. Keep reading to see the mirrored photos!
Next in our roundup of TakaraTomy Legends series figures for this month is Blurr. The Japanese release of this figure has been highly anticipated - and quickly presold out basically everywhere - due to its drastic deco differences from the Hasbro release. The photos from Alfes2010 and tagoal on Twitter show that it's turned out just as well as the publicity photos showed. There's even a side by side comparison included to demonstrate just how much has changed between releases. See that and more in the mirrored gallery below!
It's new toy day in Japan! We've got out of package shots from Twitter of this month's new Legends series releases thanks to users Alfes2010 and Tagoal. First up is TakaraTomy's use of the Legends-class Shockwave mold, paired with Cancer - that is, Titan Master Crashbash. Both are redecoed versus their original Hasbro releases to varying extents. Despite promotional images showing an improvised "seat" for Cancer, the two don't really interact. We've got photos mirrored below, so check them out now!
Fresh out of US online retail, we've got our first gallery for wave 2 of Deluxe Titans Return! We're starting with Chromedome, who is the most obviously similar to a prior toy. In this case it's the Dead End/Streetwise/etc mold family from which most of the toy's engineering is borrowed. However, don't let that mislead you, as this build sees all of those tricks refined just a bit, in to a very satisfying, solid product! Look forward to a full review coming soon, and for now check out our photo gallery with 123 images in the full article below!
Coming to us from Newsarama we have the first look at the full length preview for next week's issue of The Transformers
, #56. Originally intended to ship before this month's issue of More Than Meets The Eye
... well, sometimes things just don't work out. But this should hopefully bring everything together and up to speed, and be welcome by those who chose to wait and read the issues in the correct order! We have the preview mirrored in our gallery below, so click through to have a look.
Following our report sometime ago about the custom RED 8K camera that was created for the filmmaker for Michael Bay to use on his upcoming movie, "Transformers: The Last Knight." Well, who could be better to show off this marvel of technology, official dubbed "The Bayhem", than the director him, Michael Bay. Read on to see his video posted to Instagram of the camera and its features.
Blacklai has a new gallery on his blog showing off the just-released Masterpiece Delta Magnus! This figure represents the deco of Diaclone's Powered Convoy, seen briefly used in test animation in an early Transformers: The Movie trailer. Thanks to IDW assigning a specific identity to these colors, an easy opportunity was presented to turn another Diaclone alternate coloring in to a new Transformers character! We've mirrored a selection of photos showing off the highlights of the figure, which you can see below, and keep reading for a link to the original post.
