Don't ask me why, but Hasbro and Takara Tomy keep trying to make small die-cast type cars... In 2003, the Japanese candy toy company Kabaya teamed up with Majorette of France to produce a one of series of die-cast Matchbox style cars for the Micron Legends series. The toys were packed on similar style Matchbox J-Cards that all featured an image of the Micron Legends (Densetsu) Convoy with the word CONVOY behind him, regardless of the car in side, with a roll of tart candies packed in.



Previoulsy reported here. Korea started their new Transformers series titled "Cybertron" which is "Micron Densetsu" & "Armada" dubbed in the Korean language. Sonokong has now updated with a product page for the first wave of the toys which may be viewed here. Thanks to "Fighbird" for this news.



Thanks to TZ for floating us images of the Lucky Draw Green Unicron of Light figure. The figure was given away to ten lucky drawing winners who entered the Year Book of 2003 commemoration campaign. The GREEN color is in rememberance of Unicron as he appreared in the final stage of the Micron Densetsu cartoon. Check out the pics of the figure here.

The J-man has informed us that a company in Japan, OMRON, will release a line of die-cast Transformers figures. The figures will come in an variety of characters and forms like mini-statues, phone charms and key chains. These items are scheduled for release this month. A new photo of the Lucky Draw Shining Unicron (limited to 10 units) has surfaced. The figure has undergone many color changes and now looks much more unified. The photo can be viewed here! Tfans mod Turbine027 has provided a translation of the page here.

The LAOX Duty Free Akihabara Store will be hosting a grand opening on the 7th floor, the hobby floor, to commerate their new Transformer Corner on March 5, 2004. There will be a variety of Transformers merchandise for sell & for any purchase of a Transformers toy of 1,000 Yen of more will receive the limited Micron Densetsu green "Prime Super Mode" that was offered in Televi-Kun (TV-Boy) Magazine (while supplies last).

Images of the TV Magazine Lucky Draw jetfire have surfaced in aYahoo Japan auction. The toy was given out a araffle item from the magazine main-in contest. There are only ten of these babies in existance. Check out the pictures of Gold Jetfire HERE.

Amazon Japan has put up a pre-order page for the latest Micron Legend Vol. 8 DVD. This disc contains Episodes: Desperate (29), Runaway(30), Past I (31), Past II (32). The DVD will include a mini-comic with an exclusive Micron repaint and will sell for a retail price is 3980 Yen about $33.98 USD. Check out the order page (in-language) HERE.


CDJapan has posted the The Micron Legend DVD volume 5 for pre-order. This DVD includes episodes 17 - 20. The listing describes a Mini-con repaint and a comic book with the set but does not say what that will be. The DVD is schedueld to be released on August 27, 2003. See the CDJapan listing HERE


Remy has picked up the news that the Micron Legends DVD #4 will be released in Japan on July 30th, 2003. If things follow as they have been with the DVD #2 and #3 exclusives releases, we can expect to see a repaint of the Mini-con Race Team figure Drift (Armada Dirt Boss) with this one.


TV Tokyo has launched the official Web site for Micron Legends, AKA Armada in the USA. The site features lots of details about the show including sections dedicated to the story, staff & cast, characters, show times and more. Check out the site in-language HERE.

There is just something about trasnlucent plastic that makes you feel all warm in inside. The people at TV Magainze most know it becacue they fans in frenzy over the Crystal Convy exclusive.
