Mystery 2007 Leader Class Movie Optimus Redeco New Robot Mode Photos
ExVee - Thursday, June 29, 2017

Though we're no closer to an answer on the what or why of it, we have some additional pictures of the unknown redeco of the first movie toyline's Leader Class Optimus Prime from Weibo user NOTRAB. This time it can be seen in robot mode in a series of photos with various movie Primes gathered together. It also offers a neat look at both the design lineage of the character model, and the various stages of its execution, with 2007 on the left, and MPM-4 over on the right. The 2007 Leader toy almost looks like it's from an entirely different property! Click through to see the photos mirrored below.

With production having just begun on next year's Bumblebee-focused movie, one would hope that assembling a cast has been on someone's mind. The Hollywood Reporter brings word of a number of young actors currently in talks for parts in the film, following behind leads Hailee Steinfeld and Jorge Lendeborg, Jr. No one involved has given any specifics yet towards the story, only sticking to the rundown of Lorenzo di Bonaventura that it'll be smaller, less robots, and more character development focused. Keep reading to find out more about the newest round of casting!
It is that time of year again when the annual Transformers Hall of Fame nominees are chosen by you to the Transformers fans. This year we have 12 brand new choices lined from all the movies in for the Favorite Robot Movie Character Poll. That's where you come in. We need your help in narrowing this down to the top three characters. Those will be sent onto Hasbro who will count the grand total of votes from many sites with the winner announced at HasCon 2017. Vote now through Saturday at midnight on the Poll after the jump.
According to Hollywood reporter, actor Jorge Lendeborg Jr. is currently in talks to play the male lead in the next Transformers movie that is tentatively referred to as the "Bumblebee Movie". Jorge has played roles in The Land (2016), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Brigsby Bear (2017). Set sometime in the 1980s, the lead female role will be played by Hailee Steinfeld. The choice of the new lead role, will give us a better idea of what kind of movie this may be. As word has it, this one will feature less robots, and more human character development.
According to the LA Times, the next foray into the Transformers Movie Universe will get a record $22 Million tax credit for shooting the movie entirely in California, USA. The money comes from what is being called a "state program aimed at curbing so-called runaway production." Is it just me, or does it seem odd WE the people should foot the bill for productions that all the profit goes back to the studio? California is not alone, Michigan and other states have provided these incentive before. The idea being, these productions will bring jobs and income to the state.
The plot thickens! A photo by one owenchengzixuan has shown the recently-discovered reissue of 2007 Leader Optimus Prime in Transformers Tribute packaging. This is the same subline that the Orion Pax/War For Cybertron Optimus Prime 2-pack is a part of. But we still don't know its purpose, or what stores will be carrying this oddball assortment of... well, so far it's an assortment of Optimus Primes! Keep reading to see the photo.
