16 Deluxes were promised for the 2015 Combiner Wars series, and having learned possibilities for the first dozen, today we might have our final four. Seen in a major retail computer listing are Prowl, Sunstreaker, Mirage, and Ironhide. While not precisely the Masquerade team, the intent seems evident. This is likely a full recolor wave, so depending just how Hasbro meant "16 Deluxes" there could still be another team to reveal, but for that we'll probably have to wait for Toy Fair. Keep reading for more information!
We can expect the Autobot team will be recolors of Breakdown (Sunstreaker) and Drag Strip (Mirage), and Prowl is likely to be a second use of the Streetwise upcoming in the Protectobot group, or possibly a minor retool of Dead End to add a police lightbar to avoid having the same mold used twice in some form of police deco in what we'd expect to be successive waves. Ironhide may be a recolor of Off Road, carrying on the general trend toward reinventing Ironhide as a pickup rather than a minivan.
These images also corroborate the previous reported listings, though only specifically showing the Deluxe Protectobot entries. We can believe that the other information included with that report was also correct. Thanks to DecepticusPrime for digging these listings up!
Interesting. Personally, this seems like a good way to get another chance of getting those classic characters without having to go on eBay and pay ridiculous amounts for the classics figures. ( Like myself )
Mirage is from Masquarade, and we already have Optimus. So that's 2 of the 5 down.
Still need Jazz, Sideswipe and Windcharger.
