At the very tail-end of the Kre-O line came the Kreon Battle Changers, which... honestly should've been the idea since the start! Thanks to Autobase Aichi, we know that these built-up, transforming versions of the Kreon minifigures have been spotted at a California Dollar General by Facebook and TFWiki user Eddy Melendez, who posted these photos to a private Facebook group. This seems to be one of the first US sightings of the Collection 3 Megatron and Ironhide. Keep reading to see!
Greg "M Sipher" Sepelak has made an interesting discovery about the reissued blind-bag Kreon Micro-Changers appearing at US dollar stores - they're not reissues at all! They're entirely reversioned pieces using the updated 2015 Kreon body and entirely new tampograph applications. Keep reading for an example photo as well as more info on the differences!
You haven't seen the last of Kre-O in the US yet! Engledogg reports spotting two new $12 sets at his local Dollar General store. One features a repackaging of the Beast Hunters sub-branding Beast Blade Optimus Prime now as Beast Hunter Optimus Prime, and the other is a grouped set of the micro combiner Superion, Bruticus and Menasor, packaged as Combiner Robot Mega Pack. While for the remaining fans of the line this may not be the news they would hope for, it may still be promising that the branding is being kept going in some way in the US. Click through for box photos of the sets!
TFW2005 user Hollywood Hoist has found a nifty novelty: a new plush Optimus Prime that is clearly based on his Kreon minifigure! The plush is marked with a price of $19.99 and was found in a Washington-state Target store. Keep reading to see the photo!
If you've been hoping to get the Kreon Battle Changers and a deal on a pair of pants at the same time, you're in luck! TFW2005 board member almightymaximus
has sighted the figures along with other late-model Kre-O sets at discount chain Marshall's! As is the usual pattern with a sighting at Marshall's, checking out its sister TJ Maxx stores may also be beneficial to you, and possibly even the unrelated but similar discount chains such as Ross.
