Deadline reports that actress Pamela Adlon - recent Emmy winner for her show Better Things, and voice of Bobby Hill on King Of The Hill among many others- is in talks to join the cast of Transformers Universe: Bumblebee. Adlon is presumed to be up for the role of the mother of the Hailee Steinfeld character, and hopefully we'll learn more about the film soon. Keep reading for an excerpt from the announcement.
Bumblebee has staked out June 8 release date.
The latest pic in the billion-dollar Transformers series based on the Hasbro toys, Transformers: The Last Knight, bowed June 23 and has grossed $521.1 million. Franchise director Bay has said it will be his last behind the camera.
Adlon is the co-creator, star, writer, director and executive producer of her series, which is loosely based on her life as a working actress and single mother of three girls. The Peabody-winning series returns for Season 2 on September 14.
This seems to be Adlon's first role in the Transformers franchise, though robot fans may have heard her in the `90s as the voice of Rusty on Big Guy And Rusty, The Boy Robot.
