Perfect Effect Previews Upgrade Kit For Combiner Wars Titan Class Devastator With Prowl Head & New Mixmaster Cab
RAC - Thursday, July 02, 2015

Now that the figure is filtering out to stores this was inevitable, right? Perfect Effect's Japanese Twitter account has posted a set of images of a planned upgrade kit for Combiner Wars Devastator! There's a lot of improvements both small and large in these photos, as well as something many IDW fans have been clamoring for. Keep reading for photos and a description!

The set or sets include a variety of parts many fans should find useful: elbows for Long Haul, improved forearms & hands for 3 other Constructions, more G1 cab for Mixmaster and a better scoop for Scavenger, new hands for Devastator itself... And then there's the IDW-inspired "Prowlastator" head, which actually has a fairly creepy-looking Prowl head nested beneath it! This is a neat set that addresses many of the concerns people have had about Devastator - especially the US release - and we'll be sure to bring you pricing and availability info as soon as we have it.

Robot Kingdom has just updated their Facebook page with copies of the Perfect Effect Devastator upgrade images, noting that preorders for them will begin next week. But more importantly it looks like they're also verifying the distribution of parts. According to their information, PC-06 will include... read more

Perfect Effect posted to Facebook to reveal a new deco for their Gorira Jr partner figures designed as weapon accessories for Beast Gorira, the unofficial Optimal Optimus they released previously. Though not closely color-matching, these are shown paired with the Primal Prime redeco of Beast Gorira, and apart from deco seem otherwise unchanged. Plus perhaps simply hoping to confirm expectations, Perfect Effect has confirmed upcoming Perfect Combiner releases will be focused on Power of The Primes. If you've been hoping for upgrades to improve the Dinobots' combined Volcanicus form, you may be in luck soon enough. Keep reading to see the Gorira Jr photos!
Generation-Toy has posted a set of photos to Weibo showing off the full set of their Guardian project - unofficial MP-size Protectobots. The team collectively falling under the GT-6 label is shown in basic shots of robot and vehicle together to give a general overview of the design style. Along with a couple of full-team shots, we do get to see the built out Guardian itself, albeit only in flat grey. Presumably colors and more individual figure detail will be forthcoming soon. You can get a look at the team in this early stage right now in the mirrored gallery just below!
Coming to use via Weibo, we have a look at another representative of the unofficial Masterpiece-style Aerialbots competition. This time from Zeta Toys we get to see some detailed looks at Silver Arrow, their Silverbolt, in prototype form. Mostly on display here is the aesthetic and detailing for the robot and jet modes, as little can be seen as far as the actual technical side of the figure as it's presented here. We have previously seen an early build of Zeta's Superion though which paired with this might offer some clues. Check out all the mirrored images below!
Planet X has posted a detailed gallery to their Facebook page showing off Pluto, the representation of Megatron for their War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron inspired unofficial figure lineup. Megatron's War For Cybertron design was of course the subject of an official toy several years ago, but this looks to be digging a fair bit deeper in the source design thanks to not having to pack in to the size (or budget) of a Deluxe toy. The figure displays quite a bit of posability and is shown with the large cannon as well as a sword accessory which can attach in both modes. We've mirrored the new photos, so click through and check it out!
