On Youtube, Japanese reviewer wotafa has a video up for Planet X's Apocalypse. This is the figure inspired by War For Cybertron Trypticon, and infamously being sold as two separate pieces - though the review does fortunately cover both at once. While the review is in Japanese, it's very easy to follow along and understand what's being shown about the figure. We've got the video embedded below for you to check out, plus a quick note on a particular point in the video. Keep reading!
Apocalypse comes with several purple LED modules to go in various places around the figure. These are the subject of something of a design flaw, as they seem to not be able to be turned off unless removed from their housings. We've been told similar LED modules were used in Genesis - the Omega Supreme-alike - as a futureproofing so the LEDs can be easily eliminated from future production runs if desired. In any case, the LEDs seem easy enough to remove, but it feels like a less than ideal approach.
