Radio Free Cybertron - 531: Is it like Dragonball Super, but with Transformers?
Kilby - Thursday, August 10, 2017

This week on RFC: The recent Hasbro Press and Investor presentation hinted at a new Transformers series coming in 2018. We dig into that and let you know what to expect. We get our first look at Takara Tomy's Overlord, and it's oddly underwhelming. We also talk about the upcoming Masterpiece Targetmaster Hot Rod and its odd and confusing origins, the Perfect Effect upgrade kits for Powermaster Prime that take your Leader Class toy from being good to great, Paramount tries to save face with Chinese investors after a streak of disappointing movies including The Last Knight, and way way waaaaaaay more!

This week on RFC: The SDCC exclusives hit Hasbro Toy Shop. Did you get yours? We're guessing not. With little fanfare, The Last Knight comes home next month. Titans Returns Slugslinger has hit Australian retail, Metroplex is being reissued in Japan, Perfect Effect's Black Jinrai upgrade for the SDCC Primitive Skateboarding Prime looks phenomenal, and Deluxe Cogman looks AMAZING--let's hope we get it! All that and we ponder the deeper meanings of life and Masterpiece Targetmaster Hot Rod on this week's edition of Radio Free Cybertron!

So, SDCC exclusive Primitive Skateboarding Optimus Prime came and went really quickly on HasbroToyShop yesterday, and we at TFormers hope that most everyone who wanted one was able to get it. But with Titans Return Siege on Cybertron shipping the same day with Magnus Prime, we got to thinking about the amazing variety of uses and retoolings that mold family has seen over the two short years it's existed. So keep reading for a handy infographic laying out the history of the Ultra Magnus mold family!
