Thanks to Kevin Liu we now have a very good look at Leader class Rodimus Prime, capping off the first wave of Power of The Primes. Kevin's video is of course in Chinese, but presented clearly enough to tell what's going on anyway. Most interestingly, we get side by sides with Titans Return Hot Rod, which shows the Hot Rod form of this toy to actually be a fair bit bigger. As Titans Return Hot Rod was already a bit big for a Deluxe, you can imagine the new one is surely pushing the boundaries of being comparable with Deluxes! The video as well as plenty of screencaps can all be found below - keep reading to see it all!

We close out Deluxe wave 1 of Power of The Primes with perhaps the best figure from it: Swoop! While hardly a stranger to updates in various forms, this Swoop really stands out for doing a lot of things right as a standalone toy. While there are some plastic tolerances that don't quite work, that mainly presents in the combiner modes and so can be largely ignored if you choose. For me, Swoop was a surprise hit in an assortment I expected to be completely underwhelmed by. Sometimes it's nice to be proven wrong. We're past halfway now with Power of the Primes Deluxe Wave 1, and in today's review we're bringing you Dreadwind! Notable for bringing some Combiner Wars wave 1 in to our Power of The Primes, upon closer examination there may be fewer reused parts than you'd think. More importantly, retooled Aerialbot or not, it came out quite well and makes a decent take on the character. It might have been nice to get as a Voyager, but you can't argue with this deco at any size class, and the price definitely beats the Botcon exclusive. You got your Dire Wraith in my Duly Appointed Enforcer of the Tyrest Accord! No, you got your Duly Appointed Enforcer of the Tyrest Accord in my Dire Wraith! ...no, it's definitely the first one, and it's trying to kill everything that's not a Wraith. Will anyone survive the combined forces of Cybertronian science and Dire Wraith magic? Okay, but the thing is, as bad as this has been for all the rest of you, you need to understand that this has been really difficult for GETAWAY as well. You should really stop and think about that before you judge what he's done, because he's tried really hard to deal with all of this as best as he possibly can under the circumstances. Once again via Kevin Liu's Youtube Channel, we have a new look at a Power of The Primes toy we're still waiting on in the US. Voyager class Starscream is on show in the latest video, giving us details about the figure that we haven't been able to see before. And some we have, like the verging on diastrous overuse of stickers on the jet body, and the incredibly simplistic transformation. We have our best yet look at the combiner mode, as well as the transformation process leading to it. We have the video embedded below, and we've taken full resolution screencaps to better show some of the toy's details. Click through to see it all!

It's nice that after almost 12 years of Classics and Generations (yes, really) we're finally at the point to be able to get a full set of Dinobot updates. Slug, or if you prefer him by his original performance name, Slag is not a super strong showing in this effort, but if it represents a baseline standard all the others will at least meet, if not exceed, then I don't think we have much to complain about. Except the obvious, like being Deluxes instead of Supreme Class or other unrealistic nonsense like that. Click here to watch our video review of Dinobot Slug! You can pre-order this now at BigBadToyStore.com.

Kevin Liu on Youtube has gotten hold of Leader Class Optimus Prime from Power of The Primes, and posted a video going over all the features of the toy. It's in Chinese, but it's easy to get the basics from the clear visuals. In addition since this is our best in-hand look at the toy so far, we've also taken a series of still from the 1080p video to give you a chance to get a good look at various aspects of the toy. We're not quite sure when the Leader Class will hit retail in the US, but we'd almost bet on signs of it before the holidays have come and gone. Click through to check out the screencap gallery and see the video embedded below.

I don't think Jazz was really done any favors by having to become a combiner limb in the latest interpretation, though for the most part the execution of that feature in the toy went just fine. But there are some engineering problems, joint tolerance issues, and more really detracting from this toy. Which is a shame given how I really like where the vehicle mode went and I so wish I could feel the same about most of the rest of it. To find out all the details, click here to watch our review of Power of The Primes Jazz!

Ochre Haze, all in my brainAfter First Strike, Optimus Prime retains a full schedule. Funerals, politics... and finding the first new life on Cybertron in millions of years. All this, plus Throttlebots! The Dead Come Home (Part 1 of 2) is written by John Barber with art by Livio Ramondelli. Click here to read the review!

Today we finish out the video reviews for Power of The Primes Legends wave 1 with the brand new Dinobot, Slash. We can't say whether we'd call Slash the best of the wave, but that's partly because all three new molds turned out very nice! What we can offer is that Slash is the most different we've gotten in a little while, which does give her a certain value that the other two can't match. How that all stacks up ultimately will be for you to decide, but you can get a head start by watching our video review right here.

We've got one more video review to share with you today, this one for Legends Class Beachcomber, the Autobot Mini-car update fans have been waiting years to get. And it's good! In the coming days we'll br finsihing out the new molds from the Legends Class wave 1, as well as bringing you our looks at the full first assortment of Deluxes. Not to mention high quality galleries for all of them! In the meantime, Click here to watch the Beachcomber review.

Following the lead of the Deluxes, Power of The Primes Legends Class figures have begun appearing at Targets in the US, and I was lucky enough to be near a location with stock on hand! So this evening we've got a video review for the brand new Windcharger ready for you to have a look at. It's a pretty good toy whose worst problem seems to be a bad deco choice on the head - any other issues don't stand out nearly as much. Click here to go to the review!

Fresh from our forums, chuckdawg1999 has brought us a two-in-one video covering the first two Dinobots in Power of The Primes. Deluxes Swoop and Slug (Slag) have beaten Grimlock out to retail by a little bit in the US, so we get to see how one of the first Classics-family updates for the rest of the Dinobot team turn out before we find out about the latest take on the oft-revisited. You can find the review video embedded below!

The Centurion chase continues as the Revolutionaries work with Arcee to rescue two of their own! But who needs rescued... and who has other plans? Transformers: First Strike #1 is written by John Barber with art by Priscilla Tramontano with colors by Joana Lafuente. Click here to read the review!
