The name Jetstorm seems synonymous with Transformers. There has been a Transformer with that name in every line since Generation 2 with exception of Robots in Disguise. And while overshadowed by his Beast Machines namesake, and quite possibly his Armada namesake, Beast Wars Jetstorm shouldn’t be overlooked.
Function: Sky Patrol
Mesmerized by his awesome appearance, enemies seldom realize the power of this Predacon ...until it's too late! Striking silently from the sky, Jetstorm's internal coolant capacitors produce a toxic venom that, when regurgitated from his mouth, can destroy an enemy at a range of 500 feet. To keep his aerial competition in check, Jetstorm can launch twin air-to-air missiles that explode on impact in a blaze of destruction!

Jetstorm looks wonderful in his dragonfly form. He is mostly black with dark green and light red highlights. His six legs can move independently from each other and each wing features two points of articulation at the base more a variety of positions. Jetstorm also features two attack weapons. Pressing a button on his back will snap two missile launchers facing forward from their locked position in the tail. The second is a water-squirter. Placing his insect head into water, push the lever on his tail forward. Letting go will fill a small tube with water. Pushing the lever forward again will squirt the water inside a good distance.
Start out by pulling the insect sections underneath away to form the robot legs, twist them forward and flip up the robot feet. Separate the sides of the insect head to form the robot arms, Pull them down and away from the torso. Pull forward on the underside of the insect torso and flip around to reveal the robot chest. Pull out the hips and the base of the robot chest and fit the hip slot into the base of the chest. Snap the robot neck into the top of the chest and raise the torso wings so that they are on either side of the robot head.
In robot mode, Jetstorm’s color scheme is mostly dark green with the light red highlighting his arms, chest, waist and legs. His robot head is black with white highlights for his mandibles and his eyes glow an eerie green with light shines in through the top of his head. Due to his design, Jetstorm features nineteen points of articulation with five in each arm, four in each leg and one for the neck. Fortunately, he can also be posed in a variety of ways since his design doesn’t inhibit posability. Both the missile launchers and the water squirting mechanisms function in robot mode. The arms can get in the way of the launchers if you’re not careful. Also, each missile can he held in the holes in each forearm, giving this Predacon some melee weapons as well.
Beast Wars Jetstorm is a must have if you’re a fan of the line. He has a wicked looking beast mode and a robot mode that would strike fear in the most courageous of Maximal. His gimmicks function well and his color scheme doesn’t leave you wondering if someone smoked crack when coming up with this toy.
