Optimus Prime & Overrun- Armada - Figure

Ok, First off, I just want to say that this is a very small toy. Not like, regular Supercon small, but More like the Mcdonalds toy+a minicon. it measures around 5 inches (think, length from your thumb to your middle finger). However, packed into its 5 inches of small-ness, it has the articulation of 100 armada figures. We all know that armada isn't known for its articulation ( ok, it just plain stinks), but this figure proves that just because a line has poor articulation, it doesn't mean it has its gold figure.

Ok, now for the color review, his top half of his body is red, save the grill on his chest. This time around, his grill has A LOT of shadowing. It looks very cool, and his head doesn't have the speaking feature (For some reason, they decided that it was too much work to involve this gimmick in the show. Lazy losers.), his eyes are yellow, and so is his helmet-vent-thing, he still has his rough shield, and his side "antenna"(yes, I know its spelled wrong). For some reason, he has no matrix in his grill. Now for the lower body, his arms are blue, with gold highlights, his cumbersome smoke pipes still won't stick on.His legs and his thigh thing are both blue, and his bum has gray bars on it. His legs are blue, with silver highlights, and this feet are silver. A very nice job, Hasbro, so you get an A in color.

Flexibility - OK, now this is where this toy shines platinum, his arms go in and out at the elbow, up and down, his shoulders can go in and out, up and down, and straight up. Even his head can nod. His legs are also highly posable, they can do the splits ( his thigh covers move up and down) his legs can't go up in a kick easily, but it can be done. His knees bend well too, and can move from side to side ( but who can really do that with their knees?) his feet also can move from side to side, and up and down. A+ Hasbro!!!

Transformation - Really simple, Pull down the grill, then the shoulders, then pull apart the legs, bring down the feet, pull out the arms, pull back the smoke pipe holders, and viola, one highly posable toy!

Truck mode - Really nothing special, same color scheme as before, it can pull the trailer behind it, but it looks really silly, because it is so small.

Gimmicks - Ok, here are ALL the gimmicks. He has one none-gimmick powerlinx on his bum, He is HIGHLY POSABLE, which is really his main gimmick, and he has a powerlinx on his back, which is supposed to activate a "punching motion", however, I like to call it a shooting motion, it really only moves about 3 millimeters. -A

Minicon - His name is Run-Over. He is a jet. A very cool jet, who can transform into a gun, which is bigger than his arm. I won't go into detail, but it is very cool. A

All in all - A very good toy, well built, although you might lose his smoke-stacks if you aren't careful, he is a must buy. If you are a armada completeist, or a prime lover, Go. Get him now. If you really like good toys, get him. A
