Megatron has transformed into a dragon after falling into molten lava. And boy, is this toy a dragon. This has got to be one of the most beutiful transformers in the Transmetals 2 line if not the entire BW line..
From foot to head, this red, orange and gold dragon stands 12 inches tall, and nearly as wide when his wings are fully extended. He has one of the more poseable Beast modes in the line, with 4 joints in his legs, a swivel at his ankles, ball joints at the shoulders, joints at the elbows, joints on both wings, and a snakelike head, which unfortunately needs to be held down for most positions, except looking straight forward, where you can lock it. Speaking of the head, there is a launcher inside that fires a flame (read missile) when you open his mouth by pushing down on his horns.
Transform to Vehicle mode:
Bend tha dragon's toes to his knees, open his little wheel covers, point his arms straight up, and unlock his head... woo, kind of dissapointing if you ask me, definately the worst aspect of this toy. although It does look KINDA vehicle-ish, I guess, more like a flying dragon.
Transform to robot mode:
This can be VERY difficult at times, its kind of too tricky to explain here. Lets just say if you dont have instructions you're gonna wanna look them up. But after the transformation process you end up with a very menacing looking robot with a shield on his right arm and a dragon head for his left. (an unfortunate bit of kibble, but accurate to the show. ) The means that, While he may not be able to really hold things in his hand, he has a permanent weapon. =D. When you look at him from the backside you see his dragon tail coming out of his head., This is, however, a Very gGod Thing(TM), as it resemles Long Golden Bad-Guy Hair(R). His face is blackwith some orange detailing, an evil looking expression, and a cool transparent orange visor, to to mention another missile launcher built into his helmet, although it does kind of look silly. Unfortunately, I have long since lost his missiles, and so have no way of telling how well they work today.
A great, beutiful. toy, hampered only by a somewhat difficult transformation, and somewhat dissapointing vehicle mode.
