Cool! I get to review Soundwave after having it since the last Ice Age. Hopefully this guy will be reissued but it might be weird because cassette walkman are antiques. If you don't know who is Soundwave then shame on you for missing out on the Original Transformer cartoons. Remember the good old Soundwave pumping out those Enertron or Energon boxes while talkin his mono-tone style? Everything was cool until Beast War, that's when I decided to retire from TF because animal TFs are totally stupid, but the cartoon was pretty cool cuz it was one of the first cartoon to use computer generated graphics. At any rate, Soundwave has the least die-cast metal parts of any G1 TFs with similar size. The only metal parts on Soundwave are the feet and joints, everything else is absolutely plastic. Lazerbeak's main body is metal too. There's a bazooka style gun that can be mounted on Soundwave's shoulder or hands. The upper back area of Soundwave is the battery case, good for storing small things. There's also a tape counter gauge (sticker), walkman operating buttons, and of course the infamous EJECT. The best part about Soundwave is that the micro-cassettes can transform and they are among my favorite G1s. Lazerbeak comes with Soundwave and you can mount 2 guns on Lazerbeak. All the weapons and missles are chromed.
