Megatron - Beast Wars - Figure

Hmm...not sure what to really say on this one. I got him last year, just before I got my G1 Prowl, which I love a lot, and at first I wasn't all that fond on Megatron. I'll explain-

T-Rex mode: I don't know if T-Rex was purple, but I have to say that the detailing is great. It's the first BW Megatron that came out, not the alligator, and at first I wondered what possible fun could be have with a T-Rex that looks a little stuffed. He's not all that fun really, he looks good for posing, but that's all, the water squirter is nice though, had my cat seeking cover for a while. He's very hard to pose in this mode because of the weight of the head, he's a fair weight in total and at least wouldn't look out of place in a battle set in the future. I love the detail though, just seems like a very odd colour indeed.

Robot mode: Not bad this time, he has a lot of black in this mode and the head looks very Megatronish, evil snarl and all. Weird not having his cannon though, I find it weird to see a Megatron without a huge cannon. I find this mode more playable, the tail becomes a cool looking claw and the head becomes a mix of cannon and robot masher, at least he is when I start a battle with him. I just hate the legs though, making him pose is very awkward because his arms, for lack of a better word, add weight to him so he topples over easily. A shame that, my RID Megatron, when I make a story, hires him as a lacky mostly, I just can't seem to figure out what Megatron is like since I never saw Beast Wars and RID on TV, they were never shown here in the UK, Beast Wars was, kind of, RID wasn't. This mode is more fun, just hard to pose. Still prefer G1. Only my opinion though.
