Unicron & Dead End - Armada - Figures

Well it has been a long time waiting and UNICRON is finally here on atore shelves. It is almost hard to find a place to start so i think the minicon will go first

DEAD END: Dead End is a small moon (or meteor whichever suits you best) and he is most black with yellow feet and yellow arm joints.

TRANSFORMATION: Fold down his legs, then twist arm with gun about 80 degrees and fold down. Bring down other arm.

WHAT HE CAN DO: In robot mode he cant do much but stand there and look cool but in planet mode he can do a number of things. Although the gimmicks he can do can mostly be done by any other minicon, there is 1 that cannot. That gimmick is while Unicron is in planet mode. There is a small crevice for placing Dead End. You can have him with his gun tucked in or flipped out. Take note that the minicon does not seem to have a goodpeg for staying on any of the minicon ports, so he will fall off easily.

Now its time to get to UNICRON.

UNICRON: Unicron is in 1 word, AMAZING. Lets start with the gimmicks available in Planet Mode.

PLANET MODE: In this form, Unicron can have a minicon attached to either 1 of them planet sides (which are part of his legs) to fire 3 missles at once. He also has a chomping feature for "eating" minicons. As already mentioned, Dead End can sit on the crevice as a stationary gun. Also, the ring around the planet can hold a ton of minicons. 27 of them I believe.

TRANSFORMATION: First it is necessarry to remove the wings to make transformation easier but it can be done with still attached if you have a little skill. After the wings are detached, take the planet ring and flip the 2 parts over to their original form (as seen in the box). Now detach the legs from each other and fold them down. Then fold down the feet and twist the front foot 180 degress. Then seperate the arms, fold out hands, and pull up shoulders. Then flip up arms and secure them. Now flip up Unicron's head and snap it in to place. Rotate horns so they are poniting up. Flip up the small panel that is right below the torso. The attach wings (if you want) There you have it, Unicron is transformed.

GIMMICKS: He has many gimmicks in his robot mode. First off there are leg missles which can be used in planet mode as well (which I already mentioned). His main gimmick however, is the cannon that comes out of his chest. Put any minicon on his back and the canoon pops out with the most irritating noise in the world. The cannon can fire the large fold up missle that comes with him if you insert it into the cannon. Those are the only ones the do anything. You have push in his clear hand and it will light up. You can also push the button on Unicrons head and his eyes will blink red. In each of his legs, there is a minicon storage that can hold 1 and maybe 2 minicons. But they cannot hold just ANY minicon. They cant, for example, hold any of the minicons that form the Star Saber. The also cant hold Blur's minicon or Smokescreen's minicon. There are more that he cant hold but you will just have to find out for yourself which ones he will hold and which ones he wont. He also has a minicon storage on his torso which I believe will hold ANY minicon. You can also attack a minicon to each of his shoulders. That does it for his gimmicks.

OVERALL: Unicron is an excellent toy, the best from the Armada line so far. For laughs stand Galvatron (or Megatron) next to Unicron (both in robot modes). And Galvatron thought he was all powerful. HAHAHA. Also, Unicrons hands can hold some transformers. I have had him hold Supercon Prime by one of his legs (laughs). There is so much to do with Unicron and thast why he earns his respectable 10 out of 10.
