Sky Shadow - Beast Wars - Figure

Beast mode: A flying iguana. Riiiiiight. About 7-1/4 inches from nose to tail and very "organicy." But it also looks technological, kinda hampering the Robots in DISGUISE theme. The wings look a little funky, and the robot head at the tail leaves a slightly disturbing feeling, but this is a relatively good toy. It's gimmick: a tab that slides foward, launching a Cyberjet-esque missile...

Transformation: Relatively complex. Managed to transform him after not seeing him for five years, though. Getting the head to stay is a pain to work with, though.

Robot mode: A very organicy robot, as opposed to almost every other BW in the line, and it suits him. Including the wings on his chest, he measures about 7-1/2 inches tall. He can still launch is missile, albeit not as well. But he now also has a scissor claw in place of his right hand. And for his left hand, he has the beast head (this is my kinda guy!). But if you pull the head back, it shows a little three-clawed hand. One problem with the robot mode, however, is that the wings hamber arm articulation a bit. The heel joints are a bit loose on mine, but that's just me. The front beast feet make great shoulderpads, in my opinion, IF you could see them.

Overall: While a few flaws, this is actually one of the BETTER toys from the Beast Wars line. This bad boy deserves a seven. Shame he never appeared in the show, however. It'd be interesting to see how he grabs stuff... :P
