Veichle mode: The veichle mode on this figure is very futuristic & Cybertronian looking. It is triangular in shape & is mostly coloured white, with red & dark grey for the rest. For detailing they have used some blue & black in places, plus some metallic gold near the back.
While small, Skyblast has 2 big thrusters on the back, some small cannons near the front & a grabbing claw on the bottom. His Energon chip sits on the top near the back of the veichle form.
Transformation: Take the wings & swivel them forwards then twist the wings around 180 degrees. Next, turn the figure upside-down & make sure the claws are open. Turn the figure upright again & fold out the 2 sides of the ship to make the legs, making sure you unfold the feet also. bring the claws around to the sides of his legs to finish them. lastly, take hold of his piece that hold the Energon chip & spin it around 180 degrees, turning the head around, then flip down the cockpit from his head onto his back to complete transformation.
Robot mode: Looking very stylish, Skyblast shows off more of the same colours. There is a lot of detail on this figure & although he is small, looks fairly tough due to the swept back wings on his arms. His spark is situated on his chest. Skyblast has a fair bit of poseability, & the only thing which they could have improved on in that area is his knees which cannot bend backwards.
Energon weapons: Skyblast has a huge Energon spear which he wields into battle. But that's not all it can be used for. The blade can be removed & separated into 2 halves which can be attached to Skyblast's wings, creating combat blades for him. Whilt the other piece become a blaster which I think makes a great sniper rifle.
I have like the fact that so far each Energon weopon can become other weapons & not just stay as on type of weapon. I feel it helps add to the play value of the figure & generally makes them more worth getting.
Overall: Skyblast is a great figure but would have been better if his knees were more poseable & his head could turn while in robot mode. Apart from that this figure would make a great addition to any collection & is highly recommended.
