Wing Saber - Superlink - Figure

Superlink Wing Saber is a homage to Star Saber from the Transformers (Japanese) cartoon Victory. Back in the 80's I LOVED the G1 show but stopped watching after the last Headmaster episode...

Anyway, his vehicle mode is kinda like a futuristic Stealth Bomber in the "boomarang" shape. He has some great details including turbine fans in the engines, translucent red plane-nose with cocpit windows and two large missle launchers which swing from the front to back.

His robot is kinda rigid. His legs can be bent out from the waist, but they can not bend out forward. His knees dont bend well. His waist dos not rotate and his head does not turn. The least impressive joint are his arms as they only bend out and are quite awkward. When he Powerelinks with prime he actually splits in half right down the middle of his body, so I guess articulation was not a high priority for the maker...

Wing Saber Prime: AWSOME!

I really disliked the mixed up colors of Energon/Superlink Optimus Prime until I saw his Powerlink with Wing Saber. His arms can now be red and white with a little black and yellow trim. With Blue legs and huge blasters for his feet! He also has wings and two engines at the tips of them for interstellar flight. If you wish to switch his red arms can convert to feet and his blue legs can combine into his other arms with the blasters on his shoulders! The Autobot symbol shines proud on his right arm.

Great combination! Finally Energon/Superlink Optimus Prime has a space on my mantle. In the form of Powerlink Wing Saber Prime!
