Brakedown - Cybertron - Figure

I am not sure why they spelled this Brakedown (maybe Breakdown is taken), but it's still a fine name for this guy. He is an older member of Speed Planet that, while not being able to race anymore, still is helping win races by coaching Clocker. His alt mode is probably one of the most interesting I've seen. It looks like a chariot of sorts. It does add to the 'veteran' element he has. The brown and gold accents strangely look good on this figure. As with most Speed Planet residents, his wheels are translucent. His Cyber Key function requires you take his front end off, insert the Key, activate the function, then replace the front end back on it's peg. It's disappointing they didn't give this more thought. In any case, the function reveals an Energon Blade. Could cause some major damage if rammed into something. It might take a time or 2 to remember how to transform him, mostly because of his rotating arm movements to form the shoulders. However, it's easy to learn.

He has a great looking robot mode. Dare I say it almost looks Decepticon-like. His eyes are translucent, and their gold color makes out for some cool piping effects. He is somewhat limited in poses. Hardly any hip or shoulder movements to be had, plus he has the SFS (Short Forearm Syndrome). The Cyber Key function translates better in Robot mode, being his front end piece becomes his hand weapon. Looks like a gunknife of sorts. A great figure overall, even if his age has stiffen his joints a bit.
