Big Convoy - Beast Wars Neo - Figure

From Beast Wars Neo comes the great leader Big Convoy. Disguised as a wooly mammoth, this is a leader of great strength and firepower. His presence spells brute force. Got it cheap at 45SGD.

Big Convoy is a brown and orange wooly mammoth. In this mode, Big Convoy has not much articulation. Its tusks and trunk however have raising gimmick at a push of a button. The button is also reasonably well hidden. A good effort in adding play value to the beast mode.

The beast attack mode is something less to be desired. Looks like a mutated animal to me. Still, its always better to have another play mode.

The robot mode is where the toy shines at. Having possibly the most weaponry in his arsenal compared to ALL other previous leaders. Has rocket pods at both shoulders, 2 gattling guns at the hips, 2 anchor missile launcher at the shins as well as a B.F.G (big f**king gun?). If firepower is not enough, Big Convoy has 2 tonfas hidden under his arm which can flip out to do some serious melee damage.

Big Convoy's design is very well done, huge and brute which I like a lot. Gold tinted eyes just add on to the already excellent look. Open the chest and we get the matrix of leadership. Though not exactly the same as G1, it is a very nice version and fits nicely into the hands of Big Convoy.

Transformation wise, it depends on the individual I suppose. Before I got this toy, there are many in the fandom complaining about how tough it is to transform this beast. It is always listed as 1 of the hardest to transform. Many and I do mean MANY managed to transform from beast to robot but they could never transform it back to beast. Well, personally it is not that bad to me, perhaps not as bad as I expect it to be.

An excellent mould, every collector should have him in their collection.
