With the box-set, you get the 5 figures, they're instructions, bio cards, a botcon 2006 pin, and this comic. The 5 figures are dinobot, optimus primal, rattrap, cheetor, and rhinox. The other exclusives are laserbeak and buzzsaw, unit-2 aka tigatron, and ,Megatron and waspinator. On to the comic.
The comic opens with units 1 and 2 (unit 2 is tigatron and unit one is the black clocker repaint but it doesn't transform or have a name), on their way to stop intruders from taking a classified artifact known as the golden disk. A green laser hits unit 1 and disables his transformation cog. The intruders are revealed as megatron, dinobot, and scorponok (who you could make a custom out of with energon scorponok or cybertron scorponk, but with all the retooling, I'd say the energon cause it'd be cheaper.)
Dinobot pisses off megarton because they are fleeing and dinobot brings up honor, which megatron says its just a word they carve on a maximals gravestone. Now orders are coming in from predacon divebomb to laserbeak and buzzsaw who were reformatted and are unknown to the maximals, although ravage has been suspected by the maximals. they are sent to make sure that megatron escapes. waspinator and terrorsaur bring the darksyde to get the preds outta there. Unit 2 tries to catch them by getting a ride by none other than airrazor (who looks a lot like a slightly remolded energon slugslinger) and off they go to chase them.
AS the maximals are loading the protoform x on the axalon and are getting ready to dispose of it they get the command to stop megz cause they are the only ship that can catch them. Laserbeak and buzzsaw continue to follow the darksyde. Laserbeak and buzzsaw attack the axalon and are close to destroying it but then the chromia (airrazors ship) interferes and after a huge dogfight laserbeak and buzzsaw backside of the ship explodes (but it is not 100% if they actually die or not). now we see tarantulas trying to decipher the golden disk. (sadly he is sitting and the artwork makes it so we can't tell which mold they chose for him.) Megatron then comes outta his armor and he bitch-slaps dinobot for his honor speech again.
Megatron hails the axalon, and then has dinobot tell them that they're firing(which explains the box art). off they go to into the trans-warp and the beast wars. Epilogue. We see the actual g1 predacons reformatted and they speak of megatron losing the beast wars and the battle for the sparks(which refers to beast machines) and now the predacons are ready to take over now that razorclaw is reformatted (in the leobreaker mold.
Overall:
Awesome just awesome. i really want to see where this comic goes because it continues the g1/beast wars universe and it just leaves it off. hope they continue this comic. Prolly the best artwork for transformers, at least in my opinion.
