Gas Skunk - RiD - Figure

I used to think that Stinkbomb, while an appropriate name for a skunk, was one of the most unpalatable TF names imaginable. At least, until it was announced that Gas Skunk would be this guy's American name. Yeesh.

Beast Mode
At first glance, Gas Skunk looks the same as TM2 Stinkbomb. But on inspection, a number of differences are apparent. Whereas Stinkbomb is dark brown and yellow with a white stripe on his back and yellow vac metal, Gas Skunk is dark brown and yellow with a gray stripe on his back and silver vac metal. Gas Skunk also has black fur and flaming orange techno-bits painted on his tail, silver-painted claws and teeth, and a Predacon Spark crystal located beneath the panel on his left rear leg. His eyes are red. Overall, he looks more striking and vicious than Stinkbomb, and Stinkbomb was a skunk from hell to begin with.

Gas Skunk's sawblade-like tail moves on a combination ball-and-swivel joint, allowing it to lash and thrash like a cobra. A moving two-pronged blade is mounted near the tip of the tail. Like a real skunk, Gas Skunk can perform a hand stand.(Note: real skunks can spray you with or without pulling a hand > stand. Be warned)

Transformation
Pretty impressive for a Basic. His front skunk legs become his robot legs, rear legs become arms, skunk head folds in the body cavity, and his tail becomes a bigass ponytail.

Robot Mode
In robot mode, Gas Skunk stands around 10.5 cm(4") tall. He's got blue eyes, silver teeth, a red superhero-type mask, and a mysterious silver "M" painted on his forehead. He's also got red and green details painted on his chest and silver details on the skunk paws attached to his upper arms. His monstrous ponytail can either hang down behind him or swing up and over his head like BW Scorponok's stinger. Talk about your badass hair days.

Gas Skunk is also articulated at the head, shoulders, elbows(two joints), waist, hips, knees, and ankles. His head and hips have a slight tendency to pop off.

Overall, Suspsy Sez: A very nice recolour of a great toy.
