First Look Video Review - MakeToys MTRM-11 Meteor MP-Style G1 Starscream
ExVee - Monday, October 02, 2017

From diecast on RFC Reviews we have what we're pretty sure is the first video review for Meteor - original recipe style, that is, G1 cartoon inspired rather than Galaxy Meteor. Meteor goes for as much of a cartoon-inspired look for Starscream as is practical on a figure that can still transform, and that efforts looks quite successful with mainly smooth surfaces, bright colors, and slightly rounded edges that clearly set it apart from where the official MP Starscream was aimed. The video review is a little over half an hour. Check it out embedded below for your first in hand look at this brand new release!

Generation-Toy has posted a set of photos to Weibo showing off the full set of their Guardian project - unofficial MP-size Protectobots. The team collectively falling under the GT-6 label is shown in basic shots of robot and vehicle together to give a general overview of the design style. Along with a couple of full-team shots, we do get to see the built out Guardian itself, albeit only in flat grey. Presumably colors and more individual figure detail will be forthcoming soon. You can get a look at the team in this early stage right now in the mirrored gallery just below!
Coming to use via Weibo, we have a look at another representative of the unofficial Masterpiece-style Aerialbots competition. This time from Zeta Toys we get to see some detailed looks at Silver Arrow, their Silverbolt, in prototype form. Mostly on display here is the aesthetic and detailing for the robot and jet modes, as little can be seen as far as the actual technical side of the figure as it's presented here. We have previously seen an early build of Zeta's Superion though which paired with this might offer some clues. Check out all the mirrored images below!
Planet X has posted a detailed gallery to their Facebook page showing off Pluto, the representation of Megatron for their War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron inspired unofficial figure lineup. Megatron's War For Cybertron design was of course the subject of an official toy several years ago, but this looks to be digging a fair bit deeper in the source design thanks to not having to pack in to the size (or budget) of a Deluxe toy. The figure displays quite a bit of posability and is shown with the large cannon as well as a sword accessory which can attach in both modes. We've mirrored the new photos, so click through and check it out!

FansToys has shared some brand new photos of Rouge, their upcoming release based on Arcee at the Masterpiece scale. We now get to see Rouge in full color and alongside other unofficial season 3 character figures. The styling of the robot diverges in some minor respects from the media source material, but at the same time, this unofficial take on Arcee does have a structurally complete vehicle form. We've got the promo photos mirrored below, so click through and take a look!
