HasCon begins, and we're covering the news from the Convention going on now in Rhode Island. Just in are the first looks at the Transformers display with prototypes a plenty. We are just uploading the images now and will be adding details ASAP.

Just in by way of Tfcn's facebook page we have a new leaked image that may be a preview of the 2018 Power of the Primes line or something else we've not identified yet. The image showing a very G1 looking design of the Optimus Prime truck mode appears to be part of a bigger image that shows the robot mode as well. Hard to tell the class, the mold does look on the simple side. It is likely a smaller scale.

There's more than meets the sneakers with the new line of G1 inspired sneakers from BAIT Diadora. Thankfully, not following in the footsteps of Mark's TKL Nikes, we have these classic looking shoes that are aligned with G1 favorite characters Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Soundwave on foot and hand with complimentary BAIT designed non-transforming collectible figure to go with them. Read on for more information and images by way of the BAIT site.

On Facebook, Soldier Story Toys has shared a couple of pictures relating to their impressive and expensive Unicron statue-lamps. One shows the products being boxed for shipping from their factory, which is followed by a photo of several pieces lined up and tagged for final inspections against flaws or defects. This lamp still clocks in close to $1000 each, putting it out of the price range of many, which is quite a shame as this is a lovely piece of decorative merchandise. Check out these new images below!

Following up on their well-received Mega Action Series Optimus Prime, Toys Alliance has announced MAS-02 Megatron on Facebook! Like MAS-01, the highly-detailed Megatron figure will feature metallic paint, LED light-up features, and ample articulation at a tremendous height of 18 inches! Keep reading to see the first four photos.

TFW2005 has posted slides from a Hasbro presentation to press and investors naming the successor to Transformers: Robots in Disguise: Transformers Cyberverse! Airing in 2018, the first season is being labeled as "Chapter One," with a second "chapter" due in 2019. This is speculated by 2005 to be the rumored "G1 Redux" series, especially since it uses G1 placeholder images in the presentation slide. But all we know for certain is the name and that it will follow in RID's footsteps as an ages 6-10 show. Keep reading for more info!

Dirty secret: as much as we like Transformers that turn into recognizeable (and sometimes even working) objects, like the Device Label figures and the MicroChange side of G1... we have completely lost track of how many versions of the AU Infobar x Transformers figure there are. All we can say for sure of this particular example, thanks to TakaraTomy, is that it's the "Annin Version" and seems to have a Movie Optimus Prime-inspired deco. It'll be out in mid-December in Japan for 5400 Yen. Keep reading for photos!

Just up on their official page, Toys Alliance have posted a new image revealing their MAS-02 MEGATRON figure that will released as part of their Mega Action figure series. The image of the artists rendering shows the officially licensed non-transforming 18-inch figure design. This will be followed by the prototype figure that will be on display at the Animation Comic Game Hong Kong show on 7/28 – 8/1. Get a look at the MAS-02 Megatron concept image after the jump for the full look.

A Weibo leak yesterday clued us in to the existence of a second electronic device Transformer from Xiaomi, makers of the tablet Soundwave released at about this time last year. Today we have package images of the Optimus Prime device, revealing it to be not a tablet, but a functioning USB battery! The back of the package states it includes "2 3.6V 6500 mAh, non-replaceable, rechargeable Li-ion batteries", giving it a total capacity of 13,000 mAh. Quite decent, though we expect the price to be out of proportion for its capacity given that it also becomes a robot! Click through to see the new images.

Thanks to the good folks at Han Cholo who sent us a set of their SDCC exclusive Transformers G1 pins. These high-quality designs feature classic renditions of the 1980s most popular Transformers Cartoon characters. Get a look the Wave 1 pin designs for Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Soundwave robot mode and Soundwave tape mode. Each one captures the look of the cartoon well with an extra bit of glitter-like detailing for a nice sparkle effect. See the images and official details after the jump.

Thanks to Matt for the heads up about the new Transformers licensed "Ready to Bear FW17" merchandise made by Italian luxury fashion house, Moschino. Those looking for ultra-high-end fashion Transformers collectibles will be happy to find these premium priced products that are a strange amalgamation of Optimus Prime and a Teddy Bear. Which, is less puzzling than the prices. The prices star at $120 for phone cover and work their way up to $1,050 for a nightshirt. No kidding, read on to see the images and more info in the gallery after the jump.

TFW2005 reports that a new set of SD-style figures are coming of G1 Optimus Prime and Bumblebee under the title Taodoll x Transformers. Why do they have those odd cowlicks? As it turns out, there's an answer for that. Click through for details!

Autobase Aichi has posted new images of TakaraTomy Arts' second wave of Transformers Bitfigs! Standing just 4cm tall or 1.5"-ish, the new assortment includes two recolors - though Skywarp has a new expression compared to Part 1's Starscream - and two new figures, Ironhide and Soundwave! Keep reading to see the images.

If you'd like a small break from the endless waves of The Last Knight merchandise right now, this might be of interest! Preorders went up on Entertainment Earth for two sculpted mugs, bearing the likenesses of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee - the G1 varieties, that is. Each mug is about $20, and from the mockup art looks like they'll have fairly detailed sculpts. They're expected around August - just be careful you don't poke yourself in the eye with one of Optimus Prime's ears! Keep reading for the images.
