Japanese retailer Red Mercury has brought us our first look at in package samples for the upcoming waves of RID Combiner Force Legion figures, featuring Heatseeker, Cyclonus, Drift, and Bumblebee, as well as Combiner Activators featuring Soundwave and Optimus Prime. Previously we've been shown computer renders of all of these, along with a good look at the testshot for Soundwave in a Facebook video, but this is the first chance to see these toys in finalized form. We've mirrored the images, click through to see them now!
Our forums member chuckdawg1999 has shared another video with us. This is a look at the first two waves of the Crash Combiners play pattern in Robots in Disguise Combiner Force. The first wave of two packs, Optimus and Strongarm, and Bumblebee and Sideswipe have been available for a while, but wave 2 pack of Skysledge and Stormhammer are just now beginning to hit in the US, and this video gives a chance to get a look at these new figures - including seeing the components get swapped around and mix and matched! Check it out embedded below.
The newly released promo trailer for Robots In Disguise Combiner Force which is set to debut on April 29th in the US features a lot of first clear looks at things being added in for this season, including the "crash combination" forms of the Stunticons, new looks at Ultrabee, and more! Some of it passes by pretty quickly in the video, so we're bringing you a quick gallery of 31 images to give you a chance to get a clear look at many of the key visuals being introduced. The stills are all in 1080 quality, so be sure to hit the Original Image link in the gallery pages for full resolution! Check it all out below.
In 2017, Hasbro’s hit animated series, Transformers: Robots in Disguise will return to Cartoon Network for a third season.
The season 3 theme is “Combiner Force” and the Autobots and Decepticons will take the battle between good and evil to new heights with the creation of Combiners – teams of Transformers who combine forces to create larger, more powerful bots.
Bumblebee and the Autobot team must learn how to fight the Decepticons when combined with one another and truly work as one.
Via multiple reports, it seems Hasbro is sending out advisories to fans subscribed to one mailing list or another that the new season of Robots in Disguise will be starting on April the 29th on Cartoon Network in the US. Included is a promo graphic with an unfortunate naming error showing Menasor and Ultrabee. However, right now advance TV listings do not seem to agree with the contents of the e-mail, instead showing the 6 episode run previously called "season 3" starting over in that day's slot. At the moment, it looks like we'll have to wait and see what the DVRs have to report two Saturdays from now!
It looks like another round of Robots in Disguise product is filtering out to the usual suspects of discount retail in the US. Tonight I personally spotted the Power Surge electronic figures for Sideswipe and Bumblebee at a Ross store, priced at $12.99 each. This seems to be the first sign of 2016 RID product getting cleared out, and more may be on the way behind it. Meanwhile, if you've been looking for a deal to add these figures - or just their Mini-Cons - to your collection, it might be time to start hitting your local closeout stores. Photo proof of the sighting can be found below!
We have some information about the European broadcast of the new season of Robots in Disguise, Combiner Force. RegularCapital has a summary of new shows coming to the European Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels starting in or near May. Among them is RID, which will have a start of May 27th, and is noted as running through Saturday, July the 8th on Saturdays and Sundays. That totals only 13 broadcast timeslots. This may not be indicative for other markets, but it does seem like the expected 26 episode Combiner Force season may be split at least for Europe. More info on US airing when available!
The Crocs CB Transformers Optimus Prime clog is a must-have for your kid. This clog sports the Optimus Prime Transformer graphic. It has a heel strap for a secure fit. You can simply add your kid's Jibbitz charms to the heel strap. For lightweight cushioning, this clog has a Croslite™ Construction. The clog provides form to feet support to prevent fatigue. It also makes the clog odor-resistant.
We've got a couple pieces of news about the return of the Robots in Disguise cartoon, which will adopt the Combiner Force branding to reflect this year's toy lineup. First we have a Hasbro Studios sales guide document that describes the Robots in Disguise series, including a total number of episodes to offer, which with a little digging gives us a likely number of episodes for the upcoming season. And along that line we also have a possible start date for the cartoon - at least in Canada. Keep reading to find out more!
Forums user chuckdawg1999 has come by to share another toy video with us. This time it's Warrior Class Soundwave from RID Combiner Force. Chuck writes, "Soundwave is a surprising addition to the RID line. Based off a mix of its Animated and WFC/FOC designs, with a touch of Prime mixed in; Soundwave is the most involved figure from the Combiner Force subline thus far. While some of the panels are a bit fiddly to peg together, the vehicle mode ends up quite solid. One regret is the lack of a hand-held weapon, but at least the shoulder cannon was included."

Here's a story that Mooore than meets the cheese, the Wisconsin cheese makers Cow Candy have partnered with Hasbro to make branded editions of their cheese snacks. They have two products based on the My Little Pony and Transformers properties.
The Transformers snacks are a pink concoction of monterey jack cheese and fruit juice called "Optimus Prime Fruit Punch Jack Cheese." The package shows a nice robot shot of the Autobot Leader from the Robots in Disguise cartoon. Read on for the full product info and shots of the packaging.
The Transformers Facebook page took some time earlier today to share a fun little promotional piece for the Robots in Disguise Combiner Force line. Showing off the current major price points, Crash Combiners Bumblebee and Sideswipe, and Activator Combiner Strongarm chase down Warrior Class Soundwave over custody of a basketball, giving a fun mini-demo of the involved toys. We've got the video embedded, sop click through to see that in the full article below!
Fresh off our forums, chuckdawg1999 has shared a quick video with us to show the new One Step Blurr figure from the RID Combiner Force line. Blurr has what may be a new transformation design, but whether it is or not, it's still a slick looking process going from one mode to the other. The video is embedded below, click through to get watching!
The RFC Reviews channel has posted a new video tonight for the Warrior Class Blurr coming in the second wave of RID Combiner Force product. In this video we learn that everybody has been calling the pricepoint wrong since the packages evidently say "Warriors Class" rather than Warrior, but also that Blurr is continuing the increasing excellence shown by the line over the last year or so, looking all around super-appealing. The video is embedded below, so click through and watch now!
Seems there still more than meets the official images from Hasbro! Just posted are even more images of the Transformers Robots in Disguise action figures we saw in the Hasbro showroom last Saturday. Check out the images for Legion class Cyclonus, Heatseeker, Starscream and Blurr. Also get a look at the Warrior class Windblade and Twinferno figures in the gallery now.
