Transformers 5 The Last Knight
More Transformers 5 The Last Knight

From NOTRAB we have a curious photo showing two unknown items. More prominently is an Optimus Prime - which is the Leader Class toy from the 2007 movie line. This features chrome as well as a deco that's not consistent with any prior release of this mold, most notably lacking the orange fade on the truck nose typical of this toy. But what this mysterious new old Optimus is sitting on is some sort of Bumblebee box set. What's up with that? Keep reading for more details!

While we'd previously seen hints at a Voyager Class Bumblebee being in store for later waves of the Transformers: The Last Knight toyline, those hints just got a lot stronger with the addition of a blank-but-headered page for the figure at ToysRUs UK. The product number also gives us a good indication of which wave we'll see the figure in. Keep reading for more info!

The British Board of Film Classification has classified two new Transformers The Last Knight trailers today: one, the trailer we just linked to, and the other an as-yet unknown 61-second trailer. Is this the original Kids' Choice Awards trailer that the new trailer expands on, or something else entirely? Keep reading to see the BBFC's classification data!

TFW2005 has posted a couple of stories today with some interesting insights into the impending Transformers: The Last Knight toyline! Most notably, they've now posted (fully-codenamed) case breakdowns for Wave 1 of the toyline! Using this info, they're suggesting that Barricade is the character code-named "Mars," and that Bumblebee is codename "Saturn." Keep reading for more info and our analysis of the situation!

So yesterday, ExVee suggested that we may get an entire preview wave based on the Premier Edition packaging also being used for Deluxe Barricade. But I have a different theory, and I believe - based on a combination of what we know from various toy listings and good old-fashioned pedantry about the English language - that I can back it up. Keep reading for some toy detective work!

Tyreese Gibson, who played Sgt Epps in the first Transformers movie. Has taken to his Facebook account with a recent comment that he is close to sharing some good news. Following up with the statement that he loves that the fans have been calling for his return. Ever since the announcement of Josh Duhmel who played his co-hort as Sgt Lennox would be in Transformers 5, Tyreese has been publically gunning to join the old crew. Could this finall be it?

Michael Bay has just taken to Twitter to post a line he uttered in today's video that we shared earlier. "Is Squeaks camera-ready?" This raises a fair number of questions, most of all: who is Squeaks? And is that a real character name or just a codename, in the fashion of the Rocky-themed codenames from Dark of the Moon? Who knows, but keep reading to see the tweet for yourself!

Take this one as a rumor for now, but we may have our next Autobot vehicle mode sighting from Transformers: The Last Knight. While they're being extremely subtle about their role in distributing the image, the TransformersCars Facebook group has shared a photo of a military vehicle, noted as featuring the same decorative marking as Hound had in Age of Extinction. It may be a while before this can be substantiated, but assuming it's not a hi-and-die appearance, fans may be pleased if Hound really is returning for the fifth movie. Click through to take a look.

The official Transformers Twitter account has posted a teaser about the next robot character reveal for Transformers: The Last Knight! All we know at the moment is that the character "already has an armor of gold," and that he's being referred to as "Cybertron's newest knight." Is it Bumblebee? Will he be made the Last Knight in time to carry his solo movie? Time will tell, but keep reading to see the tweet!

The Cuban news site Radio Rebelde has posted details of the impending Transformers 5: The Last Knight shoot in Cuba! The information given is mostly background information but represents a new plot development so we're marking it with a SPOILER WARNING here. Keep reading only if you really want to know!

Live in Detroit? Want to scout out where Michael Bay will strike next, or even possible see a series of extremely profitable explosions being filmed? The site On Location Vacations has a list of potential shooting locations for the upcoming film, which is scheduled to be in the motor city until October. There's even a rumor posted as to where Bay himself will be staying during the shoot. Keep reading to see!

The Czech news site expats.cz reports that Michael Bay may be considering shooting locations within the Czech Republic for the upcoming Transformers 5. This comes shortly after prime minister Bohuslav Sobotka made a journey to Los Angeles to court Hollywood producers for filming in his home country. Producers for TF5 were allegedly seen scouting locations in the country, so I guess it worked! Keep reading for more details.

Screen Daily reports that Michael Bay's production company is considering shooting locations in the United Kingdom and in Iceland for the next round of Transformers movies. Both countries offer tempting tax breaks and financial incentives for productions that choose to film there, so Bay may be adding those to Transformers 5 and its sequels in addition to US locations. Keep reading for the details!

The Transformers Writers' Room is closed, and the website Deadline reports that the results are... two definite movies, one of which is an animated feature about the history of Cybertron, and the other is Transformers 5. Except for the script by Akiva Goldsman, Transformers 5 is shaping up as you'd expect: Michael Bay directs in his third -possibly fourth - final turn in the Transformers director's chair, and Mark Wahlberg returns as Cade Yeager. Keep reading for specifics!

Olivus Prime of the TFW2005 Forums was able to sit down with Mark Ryan recently and talk Transformers movies. Ryan is the voice behind Revenge of the Fallen's Jetfire and Age of Extinction's Lockdown, and spoke of his inspiration for Jetfire, the amount of his own acting that was put into Lockdown... and perhaps most interestingly, a hint at the direction of Transformers 5 and the Transformers Cinematic Universe at large. Read on to see what he had to say!
