Before I start. I gotta say that over the years, I have not been one of those to jump all over Hasbro for every little thing gone wrong in collecting world. While people have bashed them from everything from designs to distribution. I've always given them the benefit of the doubt. However, that patience has faltered. Mostly, it is the promise of figures to be released that we never end up seeing. Join the Discussion Now
Pretty straight forward question, how long do you want the Transformers series to last? Are you enjoying it, or praying for another reboot to be on the horizon? Read the dialog going on in forums, then share your thoughts on the latest Transformers cartoon - Join the Discussion Now
Have any of you ever kept note of when your collection has reached certain numerical milestones? Or maybe on an auspicious date. For example, which was your 100th or 1000th Transformer? Any other noteable numbers? I can't remember exactly when, but I think I reached my 100th Transformer around 1993 -- give or take a year. No idea who it was. My 1000th Transformer whizzed by me... I should've taken note, but unfortunately I didn't - so don't know who that was either. Join the Discussion Now
So I was looking at the completed listings on eBay of G1 figures and I noticed ALOT of them are going for cheap now...though there are still some that command high prices. Reason I was looking is because I just recently lost my job and am considering selling my collection as a last resort. So when did everything start going for less? Join the Discussion
Okay, transfans, it is up to you! As you all know, Hasbro is once again organizing the 2011 Transformers Hall of Fame, and they need your help once again! Thanks to Sso02V over at DeviantArt who has given us a look at what was not to be. As the Powermaster armor was designed for Sentinel Magnus before it was stolen by Optimus [link]
, I figured I may as well depict it "as intended." Vectored from design artwork in the Allspark Almanac Vol. II, and Sentinel Prime's model in the Allspark Almanac Vol. l. Check out the full artwork at sso02v.deviantart.com
Someone in a previous thread mentioned that with the oncoming Autobots in the Reveal The Shield line, all we need are Hoist and Trailbreaker and were all set. I took a step back and thought about that. To an extant it's true, but only if you count season 1 of the original Transformers cartoon and only if you exclude Hauler and 4/5ths of the Dinobots. I've compounded a list of Autobots and Decepticons who have appeared in the G1 toon (in no particular order) followed by what lines their "updated" toys appeared in. So with 2010 at a close, it's time to vote for your favorite Transformers toyline of 2010. What appealed to you more? Movie figures or more G1 throwbacks? Maybe some of the third party offerings were more along your interest. How about 2011? The Masterpiece Rodimus Prime would certainly interest most. Or perhaps the poll missed something near and dear to you. Vote in the poll, then share your favorites (and perhaps not so favorites) in the discussion - Vote Now
Cayenne Chris Conroy has done another 'Transformers Rejects' for the 2010 Holiday Season. Go check out a new show everyday till Xmas at www.tekdiff.com
We are asking all of our readers to help spread the word about a very cool raffle that will see proceeds go towards Toys For Tots.
The time has come again, ladies and germs. The Burning Questions Q&A is back for another round! With the relaunch of the Q&A Sessions by Hasbro, they have really limited us in what we can ask, so all of the previous ground rules have been thrown out, so read the rules after the jump carefully!
Alright, I'll admit that while PCC aren't the best from the transformer lines, they aren't half bad either. It's sort of a guilty pleasure of mine that I enjoy collecting the little minicons that come in the 2-packs. Now when it comes to transformers, I love experimenting around with the pieces, putting one character's gun in the hand of another etc etc etc. Well today I was bored and just started playing around with the minicons, and ended up with this! Let's say that somehow in some way you became head of the Transformers department at Hasbro (and like many of us wish that we can do) and had a say in the decisions on the figures design? What would you do? Join the discussion and share your "King Toy Designer for a Day" scenario - Post Yours Now
Nothing seems to be moving right now---there's just a glut of transformers in every genre, size and shape---what a terrible time to be a seller. Tons of no-bids and exhorbitantly priced buy-it-nows, and very little product moving. Looks like a buyer's market to me. How to feel about Ebay and the state of Transformers collecting? It is Tuesday, so you know what that means - Ark Addendum! After a hiatus to finish up the second volume of Transformers Animated: AllSpark Almanac, Jim Sorenson has updated his blog to show off Metalhawk's weapons. Part of the Masterforce series, Metalhawk is the leader of the Cybertron forces for the first handful of episodes until he eventually cedes that role to Ginrai, the reluctant hero. The character wields a Jet Rifle and a Titanium saber in his Pretender configuration. In robot mode, the character augments his Jet Rifle with wing guns. Take a look at the full post after the jump!
