Famitoy have posted new on their twitter page about possible new reissues supposedly coming from Transformers Asia. But this is not confirmed. The new figures listed include: GalaxyForce Galaxy Convoy, GalaxyForce Sonic Bomber, G1 Star Saber, G1 Diatlas, Optimus Primal, and a Special AirJordan X Transformers Black Convoy. Note this is unconfirmed news that we cannot confirm at this time so take it as a rumor until there is official news about it.

Thanks to YouTube reviewer Bricath we have an in-hand video review of the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Cyberverse Optimus Prime class figure. Just released in Canada. Just in by way of Hamatoys, we have a first look at the Project X Genesis action figure in hand. The toy is shown on display with other figures. This guy is BIG as you can see shown with the Takara Tomy Masterpiece Lambor / Sideswipe action figure that is dwarfed by the Genesis figure. Word was from Project X that the figure would be repainted to look less like the G1 version. This image appears to be the original one figure we saw. We are looking forwards to updated pictures of the new prototype. Robotkingdom lets us know the Tech-Light component will come with all orders. Yay!

As we go further into the digital age, traditional toys continue to suffer. Toy makers, such as Hasbro, were encouraged by a strong September. However, Q3 numbers put the entire toy industry down 5-6%. Action figures seem to be taking the brunt of the decline, as children gravitate more to tablets. Toymakers blame the weak economy, which they claim has hampered R&D and thus prevented the industry from coming up with innovative new products. However, some toy fans may lay blame on details such as poor distribution or higher prices. What's your take on this?

Oh yea, the Transformer you love to hate is coming back as the X-Transbots X-2 Survivor Dectcvibot action figure. Thanks to an image just released that says "Only the strong survive," there's good reason to fear it may be real. What can be done to make the loathsome robot appealing? We'll have to wait and see.
