The new release of 2007's Leader Class movie Optimus Prime under the Transformers Tribute subline is now available for purchase in the US via Amazon. Like the Orion/Optimus Evolution 2 pack before it, this is apparently an Amazon exclusive. But, unlike the very unexpectedly reasonable price point of the 2 pack, Leader Optimus is currently listed at $79.99. But of course that does mean it qualifies for free shipping whether or not you're an Amazon Prime member. Is the very first movie Optimus with a fancy updated deco worth that to you? If so, hit the link in the full post below, and keep reading for a set of new stock photos of the toy.

Japanese retailer Rakuten, by way of reliable Japanese fansite Autobase Aichi, has announced that they're expecting reissues of Masterpiece Ultra Magnus and Megatron in January! Magnus is priced in the 13,000 Yen range (US $118 by today's exchange rates) and Megatron will be 16,000 Yen (US $145). Keep reading!

The Transformers Tribute Optimus Prime Set is now available on! The boxset, which features a new use of the War For Cybertron Optimus Prime mold as well as Titans Return Kup reused as Orion Pax, is only half what other retailers have marked it - $30! That's really good for two Deluxes.

This year fans can get 10% off orders by entering the following code at checkout - "COMICON2017". This code is good till August 18, 2017. So keep it handy for the next time you shop at HTS.

TakaraTomy has posted the results of their LG-50 Celebration Poll! They asked Japanese fans to choose which Legends figures they'd like to see receive a new run to be offered on TakaraTomy Mall, and the fans have chosen. Some are fairly recent releases like Blurr and Wheelie with Goshooter, while others are a bit older but no less hard to come by, like Arcee and Windblade. And Fortress Maximus too! Keep reading for the full list with release dates.

The US Toys R Us website has a product page up for Titan Class Trypticon, giving you the chance to go ahead and preorder. If for whatever reason you might want two, the current buy one, get one 40% off promotion has been observed to apply to this despite being a preorder, bringing the cost of the second down to about $90. Toys R Us also has an estimated shipping date attached to the toy, and it's a little bit later than we may have been expecting. Keep reading to find out more, and for a link to the Toys R us page!

Did you miss out on the Chaos on Velocitron set, featuring Quickswitch, Laser Prime, Nautica, Fastlane, and Titan Master Rodimus Prime during the typically brief period it was in stock at Toys R Us? A second chance is coming your way, as we've learned the set has just gone up on Amazon at its original price of $99.99. You can order right now, but it's expected in stock on June 19th - this coming Monday - and of course will qualify for free shipping whether or not you're an Amazon Prime customer. It's a bit confusing to see this turn up again at a different retailer, but certainly not unwelcome! Keep reading for the link to the product page.

If you live in part of the United States served by an Ollie's store, you might want to plan a trip soon. We've had a number of reports of locations receiving multiples of Titans Return Fortress Maximus at the unbelievably low price of $39.99. It looks like someone liquidated their remaining inventory, surely to make way for Trypticon, who'll be arriving any time now. We can;t say for sure, but we have heard recently of Fort Max stock at Toys R Us suddenly vanishing off shelves... We've got some in store photos from FakeEyes22 on Twitter, keep reading to see, and for a link to the Ollie's store locator while we're at it!

Site sponsor BBTS has posted preorder pages for TakaraTomy's Legends Series releases for October! LG-47 is Kickback & Crowbar; LG-48 is Gong, AKA Brawn, & Repugnus; and LG-49 is Target Master Triggerhappy. It seems a fair bet that with "Targetmaster" right in his name, Triggerhappy will have a new Nebulan partner just as Legends Kup and Hot Rod do. No photos yet, but keep reading for links to the preorder pages!

Platinum Edition sets usually end up being a little steep in the price tag relative to what's in them, but this week that doesn't have to be the case.
