Those of you hitting San Diego Comic-Con next week will want to know about what's going on with IDW Publishing and Transformers. The good news is there are two events scheduled just for Transformers comics on Thurday. First up will be the booth signing with Transformers comic book writer John Barber. That will be followed by an a panel covering Transformers and all the IDW mainline properties.

Thanks to CBR we have a FULL look at the newest issue, Optimus Prime #9 IDW Transformers Comic that is scheduled for release next week. THE LIFE OF SIDESWIPE! A Junkion machine finally gives long-injured Sideswipe a new lease on life! But when his brother goes missing, Sideswipe and Arcee return to Cybertron-and nothing will be the same between them ever again.

This August, General Joe Colton, the original G.I. JOE, will take the fight directly to the TRANSFORMERS home world of Cybertron in the Hasbro Comic Book Event of 2017 – First Strike! This six-part, bi-weekly series will feature the talents of writers Mairghread Scott (TRANSFORMERS) and David A. Rodriguez (SKYLANDERS), with art by Max Dunbar (DUNGEONS & DRAGONS), and colors by Ander Zarate (MICRONAUTS).

Jazz confronts his past-and the Autobot's future-in front of millions of television viewers. But will he make the people of Earth understand Optimus Prime's mission... or turn against it?

Thousands of years ago, a starship crashed on Earth—and the Hearts of Steel Transformers were born… but how can these steampunk Cybertronians be real?! And what does Cobra Commander want with them, when he hasn’t even got Cobra to back him up? The Revolutionaries have uncovered one of the darkest and most incredible secrets on Earth!

Just in from WonderCon by way of CBR we have word there will be a new Transformers comic series coming out way. Those of us wondering about the Rom character suspected it would collide with our beloved robots and here it is! The series will be written John Barber with help from Christos Gage and colors and art by Alex Milne. The story is said to also feature new character named Stardrive who is reported to be of Cybertronian origin as well as being a Solstar Knight.

IDW and WonderCon head to Anaheim, CA this weekend for the fan-favorite 3-day convention! Held at the Anaheim Convention Center from March 31st to April 2nd IDW will be set up all weekend long at booth #1109. In addition to big signings and essential panels throughout the weekend, IDW will also be hosting Traveling Stories at their booth, a San Diego-based non-profit committed to spreading literacy through community engagement.

Thanks to ComicVine we have a preview of the Transformers Lost Light #4 Comic coming next Wednesday March 29th from IDW. RODIMUS, MEGATRON and the exiled crew of the Lost Light realise that there’s only one thing they need to do before they can resume their quest. Unfortunately, that thing is “save the world.” Can the AUTOBOTS overcome the odds and save the day?

Just in a full preview of Transformers Till All Are One #8 by way of Newsarama. The comic will be released next wednesday March 29th. This is it: the final stand for Cybertron! Will Starscream and Windblade’s gamble finally pay off or will all of Iacon be destroyed by the zombie titans?
