Generations Figures Generations

Entertainment Earth has listed a preorder for Kidrobot's upcoming series of Transformers vs. GI Joe Mini-Figures! Priced at $240 for a box of 24, these blind-boxed figures are, to our knowledge, the first figures explicitly designed after artist Tom Scioli's take on the Transformers and GI Joe universes. Keep reading to see the preliminary designs and a list of figures!

With less than three weeks to go until Toy Fair, RAC and ExVee have been thinking about what we could see there. So, in the first of three articles going from most to least likely to be shown, we'll look at things we hope to be covering the weekend of the 18th of February. Keep reading to see our picks!

Titans Return Deluxe Wave 4 is shipping from selected retailers, and ExVee's got them! While he's hard at work on galleries and reviews, we're going to take a minute to reacquaint you with all five members of this Deluxe wave! You heard right: for the first time in a very long time, we've got a wave of Deluxes with five members! Keep reading to learn more about Quake, Krok, Sergeant Kup, Perceptor, and Topspin!

Combiner Wars is showing some impressive changes between uses of a mold. From Optimus Prime to Motormaster, it's now clearly obvious at least half of that toy's parts have been changed between characters. That change focuses entirely in the upper body, leaving the legs completely identical between figures. Knowing now that Cyclonus will be the mold reuse of Silverbolt, could a similar degree of parts replacement get us from one character to the other?

Combiner Wars is the Transformers line I didn't know I wanted. In 2012 I found myself very excited at the notion of Fall of Cybertron Bruticus, and at the time thought the toys were an interesting exercise in the then-current form of Transformers engineering. But it didn't take long for me to lose the illusion and see, "these aren't very good toys." Combiners seemed beyond the reach of retail, official Transformers. So, what changed?

Kapow Toys' Facebook page has posted scans of a series of previously unknown Generations recolors featuring characters from G1 to Masterforce to Beast Wars. List and details follow below! UPDATED: a better scan is now available and we now know the true purpose of these figures.
