Just on from Toys Fair we have the new poster for Machinema's Transformers Power of the Primes!
Coming to us from the Radio Free Cybertron Twitter
, with photography by Diecast, we have our first looks from inside the showroom at Hasbro's Toy Fair exhibit. First up we have Generations, featuring the likes of Power of The Primes Titan Predaking, plus the fan vote winner Optimus Primal both revealed in full and in color for the first time. Plus we get to see Abominus fully formed, and a look at Novastar, the Firestar retool of Moonracer, bound for Deluxe wave 4. Find all the photos below, and keep checking back for more showroom updates!
The usual leaker has posted an image of a model sheet for Grimlock that matches the Cyberverse
design, except with a significantly higher level of detail and a slightly differently stylized dino mode. Is this the Cyberverse
design, or part of the possible "Evergreen" styled reboot of Generations, or something else? Either way, keep reading to see the design and stay tuned for our Toy Fair 2018 coverage as Hasbro makes its presentation within the hour!
Remember Mighty Muggs? One of Hasbro's attempts to get in on the lucrative vinyl minifigures market, Mighty Muggs was moderately successful about 10 years ago and then more or less disappeared with the exception of the occasional show-exclusive. But in the intervening years Funko conquered the world with PoP! vinyls, so Hasbro's going to try once again for a piece of that pie. Keep reading for the reveal of the new, improved Mighty Muggs courtesy of Screeen Rant
Thanks to Cover Atto Kempler (Attobot Prime) on Facebook, who's posted an extended image gallery for the Transformers Power of the Primes Elita-1 figure. There lots of shots of the lady-former in robot, and alternate modes as well as compared with her mold based on the Starscream figures. For you romantic types, there even few shots of here and Optimus Prime.
Thanks to Ricky DeWeese
who posted tothe Facebook group Transformers Addicts, we have our first look at Power of The Primes Elita-1 out of package. Elita and Hun-Gurrr both suddenly appeared in store at a Walmart in California this weekend, and we were able to share photos of Hun-Gurr with you earlier today. Elita-1 shows a healthy degree of new parts versus Starscream, leading to a decently distinct visual identity. What it largely has in common with Starscream is expansive wing stickers making up a large portion of the deco for the jet mode. But, it may not be quite as bad. Keep reading for images and more details!
Hun-Gurrr! We want him so bad we can taste it. It drives us mad to see him wasted. Luckily, TFW2005 user dorfsquest
has elected to share some images of the recently sighted Voyager - including a good look at Abominus' torso! The figure, while sharing no parts with Combiner Wars
Silverbolt, exactly zero parts, trust us on this,
clearly draws from the engineering of the best of the first-generation Generations torsos. And, as is typical for Power of the Primes
, you'll probably want to start checking Toyhax soon for replacement stickers. Click through!
The identity of the ultimately unused pretool second character for the 2013 Generations Orion Pax remained a mystery for a very long time. Speculation always leaned toward Kup due to some very superficial resemblance, but it was just that - speculation. Recently it had been let slip by some individuals with access to that information that the Kup idea was evidently correct, but nothing more than that. But today we got visual confirmation, and our first look at this unproduced Kup, via extra parts from leftover Botcon 2015 customizing class kits. Shawn Tessman even completed one in the style it might have appeared as a retail toy, and you can see photos of that below!
Thanks to Emiliano Santalucia who's shared an update on the Transformers Power of the Primes designs. Get a look at his concept renderings of the Evolution Rodimus Prime's robot and alternate mode designs from the Power of the Primes series. This design is intereting in that is shows the function of the chest to accommodate the Matrix.
Though it's been a little quiet on this front for a bit, we're back today with some new photographic fun for you! Our latest gallery is Windcharger from Power of The Primes. Easily the second least-desired figure from POTP Legends wave 1 (poor Skrapnel), Windcharger is a nicely solid take on the character, whose worst quality seems to be visual weirdness with the head. But as we demonstrate at the end of today's gallery, a little paint can help with that a lot! Thanks to HeyMickey for the assist on that note! We have over 130 high quality photos ready and waiting for you - click here to go straight to the Windcharger gallery!
Via Loopaza on Facebook, we have images of the Transformers-relevant pages of Figure King
magazine #240, which we've mirrored here for your convenience. Within you'll find photos of TakaraTomy's Power of the Primes releases, which include the five Dinobots, Dreadwind and Blackwing, Moonracer, and Starscream and sure are all looking very domestic. There are also shots of the previously-revealed MP Shadow Jaguar and the apparently impending Japanese release of the Transformers: The Last Knight
Armor-Up Turbo Changers from last summer. Keep reading to see for yourself!
Amazon Japan has posted stock photos for the majority of the June and July assortments of TakaraTomy's Power of The Primes releases. Firstly, this crushes a lot of last-gasp hopes from the fan community as we find that the Dinobots aren't being redirected to a revived Unite Warriors (instead being the majority of June's individual releases), and no Masterforce-based redeco of Darkwing and Dreadwind is forthcoming. We do get really good looks at a lot of what we're getting as wave 2, including our best look yet at the Alchemist Prime/Submarauder Prime Master. We've mirrored all the images below, click through to have a look!
