RID 2015 News RID 2015

We make another stop on our tour of global Amazon sites tonight with Germany's branch giving us new stock images for Legion Class Blizzard Strike Optimus and Legion Class Ratchet. While this otherwise wouldn't be especially notable, Ratchet presents us an interesting mystery. The package art depicted is completely new showing a Ratchet that looks like the Prime character made over in the RID art style. By comparison, Blizzard Strike Optimus doesn't even get recolored art. Might this hint at an in-show appearance for everyone's favorite Jeffery Combs-voiced Transformer? Keep reading to check out the images!

Hasbro has released the official promotional images for products revealed today at Toy Fair! First up we have Robots in Disguise with new reveals of Warrior Class Windblade and Scorponok, plus lots of looks at the big and Warrior scale versions of Power Surge Optimus Prime. Up next we'll have all of today's Generations reveals, so stay tuned for more!

A few days ago we brought you news of the airdate of the second season of Robots in Disguise, along with the titles for the first two episodes. Now once again via Zap2It, we have a new update bringing us the title for the third episode of the season. Currently scheduled to air on March 5th in the US, you'll be able to catch "Metal Meltdown" on Cartoon Network - presumably at the same 6:30am slot the first season occupied. Keep your DVR warm and watch here for more updates as we get future episode titles!

The second season of Robots in Disguise will be starting up in the United States earlier than you might have expected! TV listings site Zap2It now shows entries for the first three episodes of the new season of the cartoon, and has titles listed for the first two. The new season kicks off with "Overloaded, Part 1", likely getting the ball rolling with the introduction of the Cyclone Mini-Cons. We also have the air dates for the first three episodes, so keep reading to find out when to catch the new episodes!

With Nuremberg Toy Fair taking place this week, the German Hasbro Newsroom site has made a couple of relevant updates. Besides a note about Mini-Con and Battle Packs, a page was made for Gigawatt Optimus Prime. No pictures are present, but the description mentions an included Mini-Con, flight sounds, and optional wings and cannons. All this together sounds more than a little like the Hypersurge Optimus we found out about from the Japanese retailer order form just recently. The German site has this listed for Fall/Winter 2016, though it could be earlier elsewhere in the world. Keep reading to see the leaked catalog image.

A German website has posted some small images giving us a first look at Mini-Con Deployer Crazybolt in what looks like final plastic colors and deco. The car-to-lizard toy joins Overload as a Cyclone Mini-Con deployer, launching the spheroid variety of Mini-Cons, and in this case it's not immediately clear if Crazybolt will be able to launch in both modes or only the beastial robot mode. We've mirrored the images, click through to take a look!

The McDonald's Happy Meal website has a preview up for the next upcoming kids' meal promotion. Coming soon to McDonald's in the US is another round of Robots in Disguise toys. The image shows the typical 8 toys. Optimus, Bumblebee, Steeljaw, and Thunderhoof are on the offering for this set, and each will be available in separate robot and vehicle varieties. As is typically the case, a My Little Pony promotion will be taking place alongside the Transformers. Keep reading to see the preview image.

Firestorm from the Ozformers board has posted several screencaps from the latest update of the Robots in Disguise mobile app. Much of the content of this update seems to focus around adding new Mini-Con characters, including some that may not have been seen before. What seemed to catch more attention though was the reveal of "One Step Evolved" versions of Optimus and Strongarm, perhaps indicating a new variety of One Step Changer figures coming along? All this and a new Legion Decepticon - keep reading to see it all!

Entertainment Earth has posted an order page for wave 6 of the Warrior Class Robots in Disguise toys. This assortments adds some more of the waited for Decepticon characters with Thunderhoof and Quillfire. The bad news is that they're each one to a case, alongside reships of several earlier figures. Collectors hoping to pick up these new figures may have a bit more difficulty than they'd anticipated until or unless a revision case comes along improving the ratios. Keep reading for the photo!

Officially revealed last month, the Robots in Disguise Mini-Con Battle Pack assortment is making its way out already, and from Dreyga_kun on Twitter we have some first looks at Optimus Prime out of package. The photos show Optimus in robot and vehicle modes, plus with the addon parts arranged both as armor, and the battle hammer weapon, plus a look at the included Mini-Con. The overall impression seems favorable, and Optimus is compared to a Scout class toy making it sound decently sized for a smaller figure. Click through to see the mirrored images.

24 hours after the rest of their assortments were listed in stock on HTS, Megatronus and Pipes have finally joined the others in active inventory. This Megatronus is notable for sporting the unmasked head sculpt, versus the battle mask that is exclusive to the Toys R Us Clash of The Transformers release, and Pipes is still a blue Huffer. Discount codes that include free shipping are still active. You can keep reading to get that info, and links to our earlier posts to check availability on the rest of the new toys that have been listed, all below!

In addition to the new Generations Legends, HTS has listed three of the four figures from the new RID Warrior Class wave, Fracture, Blizzard Strike Optimus, and Night Strike Bumblebee, plus Mini-Con Deployers Blizzard Strike Drift, and Overload. In this batch, Warrior Class Megatronus is currently unlisted. And while a placeholder product page can be found with URL modification, there is nothing there yet. We've reposted the discount code info after the break, so keep reading for more details!

Newsarama's got out the early preview again this weekend, showing off an extended look at Robots In Disguise #4, due in shops this coming Wednesday. As seen recently in the shorter iTunes preview, Magnus and Bumblebee's teams finally get together and work out their differences. We'll be bringing you the review first next week, so be sure to be back here at the usual time for that. Until then, click through and check out the preview!

Among the new product listings that went live tonight were a pair of "Mini-Con Battle Packs", one for Optimus, and one for Sideswipe. With no image attached, their nature seemed unclear, until we remembered one of the promotional images released during New York Comic Con showing a recolored Optimus carrying a sword Mini-Con. Digging more, we found a similar looking image featuring Fracture's Warrior Class mold. Is the focus of the Mini-Con line changing in 2016? Keep reading for more!

We've got looks at some new RID product shots with the launch of the 2016 preorder listings. First is the next Warrior assortment showing us the final production versions of the new Fracture and general retail version Megatronus, along with Optimus and Bumblebee recolors. Then we have a second wave of Deployer packs, with the recolor Blizzard Strike Drift, and new mold Overload. Keep reading to have a look!
